First sensible post in a long time on this forum!

Typical of Guardian. Had issues with them before (not football related) over muddled thinking not based on full facts but making incorrect assumptions.

Derby v Saints (FA Cup - 3rd Round) Build Up and match thread
SimplyRed&White replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
I have heard from within that he has been told to find another club. Club not happy he gave an interview and was critical of training (whilst Hughes still Manager) May be other reasons as well including attitude. -
Powder Puff Player. Said so from the first time I saw him play.

Long, to opposition defences, is like a wasp at a picnic. A bloody nuisance but rarely stings. Better players are emerging who can do that job more effectively

Adam Blackmore Verified account @AdamBlackmore 4m 4 minutes ago More #saintsfc manager Ralph Hasenhüttl fascinating on Cedric today when we chatted.... Said Cedric is training but he’s decided ‘play the young guys (Valery) in that position’ and so Cedric has to wait and when the moment comes he ‘maybe gets a chance to play’ Stall set out ...

Was with him last week. He is between jobs at present but still living in Harrogate. Finishes his coaching badges in the summer and keen to stay in football

Had mine since 2006/07 season. Not renewing next season. It is not about money I just no longer enjoy going. Even let someone else use my season ticket today.

Markus Barnes just signed for Yeovil on loan

I do not post much on here but read the forum regularly. Funny how the same insignificant or bullying posters put down those who try to impart information. The information may or may not be correct but it is entertaining. The jibes and put downs are not unless you are one of those sad people who get off on it.

Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk

Now confirmed by Liverpool -
Those who are interpreting the written report should listen to his whole interview and the way he says it. I do not hear any arrogance, just respect for Southampton. https://audioboom.com/boos/2909849-listen-liverpool-s-adam-lallana-reveals-his-thoughts-to-bigadamsport-about-his-impending-return-to-st-mary-s-lfc-saintsfc

I want Lallana, Shaw and Chambers to succeed because if they do it will be good for England's future. Lambert is past his best but would love him to score a few for Liverpool just to complete his fantastic football journey. As for Lovren, I have no interest in him whatsoever. Think we might have missed the bullet when he left. Would not want any of them back. We have as good if not better.
-
Perhaps they will when the deal is done rather than some twitter speculation that Solent picked up on. I am sure it is correct but you make an official statement when the deal is finalized don't you?
-
I think we need to give him a bit of space. The guy is clearly very upset at being pushed down the pecking order and may be reading too much into the situation. Over the summer we employ the England Goalkeeping Coach and then sign one of Englands prospective Goalkeepers. We then publicly state Forster as No 1. Nothing wrong with that. He cost enough but it might have put a bit of paranoia into Borac's mind. What I cannot understand is what happened next behind closed doors. Did Boruc have a blazing row with senior Management? Why was he not on the bench at Liverpool? Why are the club keeping quiet? Is it because of internal discipline? Looks like Boruc has burned all his bridges. Posting on here will not have helped his sanity. The majority of football supporters, particularly posters on here, are unsympathetic. Good luck Boruc, you served us well when we needed you most. You can be proud of your achievements at Saints. Hope things get sort out for you.

Club are saying nothing but I don't think I am far off the mark. Enjoy your "horse" steak & chips?

kpturner, there was a poster on here called irene (I am convinced it was Boruc himself) "she" answered every question put to her even denying "she" was his partner but three times in the tread she was asked if "she" was Boruc and she conveniently side stepped each time. Looks like Boruc threw his toys out of the pram when he was told he was no longer first choice. Bit harsh on him but he is acting very unprofessional and I told irene that!

Artur Boruc please stop posting.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says Southampton's £12m bid for striker Shane Long was too good to turn down. According to the Hull Daily Mail, Southampton's initial bid was close to the £7m Hull paid to sign the 27-year-old striker from West Bromwich Albion in January, but when that was rejected the offer rose to £9m and then on to the figure which was accepted by the club on Tuesday night. "We'd not been looking to sell Shane but it's a fantastic offer and we've decided to accept it," Bruce tells the newspaper. "The challenge is always to become bigger and better and this money will be put towards strengthening again. Whether you are Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, everyone in football has got their price. Myself and the owners didn't want to lose Shane but we accept it's a very good offer, especially when you consider what we paid in January. I've got no issues."

Fraser Forster Joins on 4 Year Deal - Official
SimplyRed&White replied to Wrensup's topic in The Saints
If you are Boruc although I disagree with you posting as you have, I can understand your anger and pain. You had a very good year for us and despite the few mistakes, something that is common with all premier goalkeepers, I consider you should have been given the gloves for the start of the season. I had hoped you would stay and compete. We, as supporters would be very happy & relaxed that we had such a great keeper as back up.
