  1. Gosh and to think we could have had a middle eastern potentate's airline.
  2. Fabulous team spirit on Saturday would be destroyed in an instant.
  3. Could someone remind me how to put someone on ignore. We have a few who need to be added to my list.
  4. The 3 defeats under Wilkins will probably come back to bite us if we miss auto promotion by 1. Wonder if there will be a witch hunt if we miss out.
  5. So Cortese in the Northam, Le Tiss in the Kingsland. Any conspiracy theorists out there? Who was covering the Chapel or the Itchen?
  6. Lallana's turn before laying on the cross for Barnard's goal sent the whole Yeovil defence the wrong way. It really was sublime. Incidentally Martin missed 5 clearance headers in the first half and tried to gift them a goal with a misguided pass across the front of the penalty area in the second. That said it was a comfortable win but the real pressure will come in the last 6 games. Matt le Tiss was in the Kingsland behind us. Good to see him there.
  7. Just to clear something up. Jaidi is there as the main first clearance defender (90% headers). Fonte should be tidying up behind him and covering breaking forwards. Jaidi is NOT there for the football. Neither Seaborne nor Martin can be relied on for the first clearing header so the defence can come under pressure and Fonte's role changes.
  8. Adkins looks more and more like a Div 3 possibly Div 2 manager whereas Pardew is a genuine top league manager as he is showing at the madhouse which is Newcastle. No use looking back, however.
  9. Sorry but he's back to using very clumsy English. What is his actual qualification? Didn't he write essays? Apologies rant over - I'll get my coat.
  10. Time to re-run the sticky on where we will finish? Still think third.
  11. Not over-impressed with Fonte or Forte? They are two different players
  12. Still trying to figure out why we are not playing in a recognisably Adkins way. Remember v Yeovil away ball was swung from side to side through midfield and rolled out to centre backs all the time from Davis. I know it took a shelling v Huddersfiled, but why has the overall pattern looked more and more like Pardew. Is it player power? The last manager for nearly all these players is now a mid-table Prem manager. Do the players not get the psycho-jargon of the new man? I know his overall performance is satisfactory but is some minor part missing. Perhaps Cortese should talk to the players upping the anti on promotion? Every game really is a cup final from now on.
  13. The O joke made me laugh, first time since contracting flu last Thursday
  14. Mother in law confirmed yesterday there was no snow in Hartlepool so I think the game is on. Have the team stayed in the North?
  15. There will be plenty of ups and downs on this roller-coaster of a ride towards the finishing line. With best wishes to eurosaint - run out of cliches.
  16. Interesting that Bournemouth play Huddersfield next Saturday. Any bets on a draw there? So....if we can grind out another win (against Rochdale) the league moves in our direction.
  17. Perhaps the most impressive National Press interview anyone from Saints has given. I for one will now not believe any speculation about the club unless Nicola specifically states it to be true.
  18. One wrong turn after the game and it took for ever to find the car. Never in much doubt once we brought on Nani and Giggs. Lambert frightening defences again was a real plus.
  19. Well said Halo.
  20. Really no weak links, but Bialkovsky's kicking is diabolical. Think we need an experienced keeper towards end of career to help defence. Richard Wright filled the bill brilliantly 2 seasons ago. Midfield run by Scholes for them and Schneiderlin for us with the latter a shade better and 15 years younger!
  21. One look at the Millwall set-up compared with ours would have told him he's better off here.
  22. Rarely heard a manager as bitter as Ian Holloway in the brief interview on ITV. All he had to do was admit his team had been beaten by a much better side.
  23. Trains running from Salisbury via Eastleigh(change) I believe. Also on other weekends including 29 Jan.
  24. Great banter with their keeper made it a great day out. Plus a win of course. Problem in last 10 minutes seemed to be Richardson who looked out of place in midfield and allowed them to push forward. Sure we'll learn from it. Need a pacy player in the transfer window to take some pressure off Alex Ox.
  25. Sun Times building up Alex. Suggests £10m will be on table soon. Every top club watching him. Oh dear!
