Personally thought Fox had a nightmare in the second half. On two occasions he backed off over 10 yards and still couldn't stop Adomah who reminded me of AOC. Hope there aren't too many more fast tricky wingers around.

Thank goodness we have some people who understand football. All the great Liverpool sides from Shankly onwards had a high pass completion rate, passed the ball across the back 4/5 and wore the opposition down. The technical term was pass and move. Not very dificult really.

Whole passing game stopped after Cork and Connolly went off and we reverted to humping the ball up to Lambert. Schneiderlin and Chaplow didn't work in midfield. De Ridder looked a bit ordinary. Adkins will have learned a lot I think.

Thanks for putting up this post. Present team looks stronger at the back, no worse in mid-field and slightly weaker up front. Team spirit is certainly better - remember Best's hissy fit and Skacel going missing regularly. Perhaps we are underestimating our possibilities.

Just imagine if you are defenders and you have to defend against Fonte,Jaidi, Lambert and Lallana not to mention Barnard and AOC sniffing around. It sounds like a defender's worst nightmare

Sitting with the Brentford supporters, I was struck by their lack of knowledge of football. Every time one of our players went down they were tarts but every time one of their players went down it was a penalty. Their constant exhhortation was to hump the ball forward but they failed to notice that Fonte and Jaidi simply headed it back. There were thousands of empty seats but it made me proud to see and hear the Saints supporters.

Wonder how many risks we can take with semi fit players eg Oxo and Schneiderlin. Even 10 minute spells could be useful against tiring legs. If it avoids play-offs I would take any risks.

So glad I have Glasgow Saint and Alpine Saint on ignore.
