Bought Man City and Wigan tickets online last Thursday and they still haven't arrived by post. Has anyone received them yet who ordered last Thursday or after?

Do you mean the FA Cup match at Bristol Rovers in 1978 ? If so I was there as a kid, I was told that the pitch invasion was started by Bristol City fans wanting to cause trouble ?? I think I remember a fan sitting on the penalty spot, but my memory may be playing tricks. I was most disappointed as I had to leave because my parents left the match at that point disgusted at the 'fans' behaviour.

I get it mostly for the 'interviews and gubbins' The current news back from France pre-season is to me what it is all about i.e. new signing interviews/filming of training/match highights/post match interviews that you won't get elsewhere, all with a good Saints bias of course !

I will always support Southampton, even the pre-season matches at SMS that other dismiss!!, and my dislike of the new Home Kit is a minor irritation however I would ideally prefer to like and admire the home kit of my club.

Don't like the home kit, white (or is it grey?) stripes are far too thin they should be at least twice their width. and then to have red shorts with it just makes it just over poweringly Liverpool like. I don't like Liverpool. However as others have said maybe it's an age thing as my teenage son likes it and casting my mind back to the to my yuf I wasn't so critical of shirts that now a days look truly horrific. Are we staying with Umbro after this season ? I hope not if we now have to follow the latest Umbro stylist generic vision which is then used in different ways across their whole client base, we need more individuality.

I think that being able to have 7 subs and I presume participating in the Premier League Reserve League will help to give our Youth Academy players a better route from the Youth League to our 1st team. The current sub rule of only 5 and 2nd team league set up in the championship seems to stifle youngsters progression, although it does seem to work OK in Leagues 1 and 2 (ala Crewe) where standards are lower and promising youngsters can compete better.

Excellent to see the players finally being able to celebrate their achievement, especially Tanny Lee with his cast still on. Well done to the lot of them. Champagne took a long time to appear ! Promotion tonight please, I don't fancy during the Coventry match having rumours about the WHam score filtering around the crowd and onto the players. I do have a sick feeling that we will only be drawing with Coventry and WHam are gradually winning by more and more against Hull until we have to win to get auto promotion. I thought De Ridder did OK and in my opionion after Lambert was our best player in the 2nd half, at least when he got the ball I felt that something could happen, but then I like players who run at the opposition rather than looking for a sideways or backwards pass. The whole team lacked invention and ideas after the 2nd Reading goal. I have been told by people who were watching the match on TV that the ref had a word with Adkins that Chaplow was close to be sent off (could have had a 2nd booking) and the substitution was made shortly afterwards.

Those with blinkers will say that you are talking shyte but those that know about football know that there is a certain truth in what you say.

Just before their 1st and 2nd goals we were causing alot of difficulties for them but we lacked ideas when we went 2 - 1 down. We were too predictable and slow in the build up, Reading behind the ball and then hoof into the box. All the way through the game Reading were content to sit back and soak up the pressure and then with speed and space going forward hit us on the break, twice when we were on top and playing well they just waited for their chance. Mind you if we play like that ( a part from the result) for the last 3 games we will get enough points, but it's typical Saints leaving us hanging on and keeping things close.

Think it was Adkins having a word with Guly at the end but from what I saw still didn't manage to pursued him not to go straight down the tunnel.

Having supported Saints for over 40 years I rarely have confidence in them due to too many let downs and mental scars. The most recent being Saturday in the 94th minute, I just knew the equiliser was coming however late it was in the game. However twice this season I allowed myself to be confident these were just before Bristol City away and the run of potential easier pre-christmas games and again after the recent Hull away and a 9 point gap to West Ham. I should have known better !! Am I nervous ?, of course I am, however tonight we could be either 7 points ahead of West Ham or 1 point ahead, a huge difference to our promotion prospects.

How ever long he is out for (at least for Monday according to Adkins ) will we need to re-think the subs bench not having a goal keeper, wasn't Spiderman supposed to be our on field sub goaly ? with him not playing will Bart be on the bench or will Adkins risk it ?

I listened to Adkins on Solent and I didn't hear him say that he would be out for the session I remember words like this - that it was a bad challenge and has a stud mark on his knee, it wasn't looking good and the knee had swollen up but they'll assess it later, he will definately not play on Monday v Palace.

We shall fight by taking one game at a time, we shall fight by controlling the controllables, we shall fight by drawing a blue line under and taking 4 positives a 1 negative from the Blackpool game, we shall fight by having a superb squad of players who work hard in training and for each other, we shall never surrender but if we do we'll learn the lessons and review the video tomorrow. I wondered if he really meant bobbly rather then boggy, but got his worms mixed up.

That was more by luck than judgement. My original statement was more about his obvious lack of goal keeping skill rather than the result on the day, and hoping that we now have an outfield player with some goal keeping aptitude.

I hope that he is better than Blackstock was at Newcastle !!!

We've had a number of matches without a sub Goal Keeper, do we have a reasonable out field player back up Goaly which gives Adkins some confidence in this decision ? Hope this doesn't catch us out at some point.
