One thing to also factor in is that our loss is a net loss after tax etc.. and was a profit before exceptional items and how much did we pay off in transfer fee during that period. If we had similar values in there paid and we have circa £30m more in income this year we will be fine hence the commitments from the club that we will not sell players the manager does not want to. I guess (it is a guess) that if we recoup Osvaldo's fee we may re-invest on other players but may not have a great deal more but we will see come summer.

I thought that to when i watched it on MOTD but no one even mentioned it.

Completely agree but I'm an eternal optimist and as long as Man City beat Villa tomorrow it's as you were with one less game to go, yes it is disappointing as we had a perfect opportunity to go 6 points clear but it's still in our own hands
-
I know we lost today and it's obvious that we are not defending that well but every statistic I've seen shows about 8 shots on target for us and 3 to them and even more of difference on off target chances which looks more like a bit of a smash and grab by them

Actually you read 4points adrift when he took over and still 4points adrift but the 12points was to do with Man U

Actually I was wondering the same thing will our players not have a great game in an attempt to impress the new manager and our team at their best can match any team. Also hard for Everton to prepair as they don't know what we will be set up like
-
I agree and we should move on support the team and hopefully NC will have been right and we'll continue to move up the table
-
I've watched match of the day too and how was that second one on Lallana not a penalty even if he went down soft for the first one MOTD didn't think he particuly did the second was blatent

Have to say my first game of the season I have been to and 1 - 0 down at half time flattered them and we came out second half a gear or two up and Villa had nothing more to give great day and great win.

Great news saints do like to stretch it out and i voted yes

The announcement from Bologna is on transfer clockwatch on skysports.com now

Still think a 3-1 loss would actually be a not bad result anything better good going anything worse not exactly a surprise
-
I actually quite like those a bit different to most other clubs in EPL
-

Wham draw get in

I have to say good post crab i believe we'll know better on tuesday night, i do think we will win at Peterborough and i have to say the result at Bristol is not now so much a forgone conclusion remember yesterday they got a draw away at Birmingham and a win for them on Tuesday could almost have them stay up so i wouldn't be supprised if they get a draw. Which will mean we will only need 2 draws at that point if we win at Peterborough, also for West Ham away at Leicester is really not an easy game, yes everything could go really wrong but it could also be absolutely fine. I am a little nervous but i'm not quite doom and gloom just yet its still in our hands.

Your right but if you don't spend out on players as well as receiving for players you have sold you will have a much greater VAT on receipts and have to pay to the HMRC but if you do spend on players in the VAT on what you've paid evens out.
-
Should be number 3 a 15 point deduction why should they get away without a deduction but i would not want them to disapear

SSN reporting that S****horpe say the offer to Adkins is withdrawn
SteveBish replied to Topcat's topic in The Saints
I don't get this nothing has come out from our club it's still all media speculation and anouncements from other parties maybe it was almost agreed maybe its was agreed but if the manageer has not signed and we have not announced it, it has not yet happened, if a company offered you a job would you tell every one at your old work and resign before either a written offer letter or you had signed a contract, I wouldn't , looks like the S****horpe chairman just jumped the gun on announcing it, maybe he did it to **** us off and scupper the deal so he could keep his manager and still look good.
