That's about usual for that lot. The way players change from hero to villain and back again... I reckon they should do a draw before each match to decide what they currently think about each player. Perhaps they could do another at half time, in case they get bored of players having the "hero" or "villain" tag consistently for an entire 45 minutes.

Signed. Always did like Coventry - I knew it was bad news the day SISU got involved with you Good luck!

I thought ground shares had to be in the same county, or is that just some Internet myth I've been conned by?

VIDEO: Gary Neville's analysis of Southampton vs Chelsea
Ric replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I've been very impressed with Neville's analysis - he's completely fair (even when talking about Man U) and is able to put across a technical insight far in excess of that by Hansen and particularly Lawrenson. Match of the Day should be watching this and planning on upping their game considerably - they've been resting on their Lawro's for far too long. (Sorry - couldn't resist ) -
I know this has been overtaken by other news this morning, but whilst you can't really argue against that statement in the slightest, didn't the PDT say they'd close the academy down? Or was it supposed to become self funding after 3 years? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

I nearly had a "coffee & keyboard" moment there (actually, it was a cup of tea to be honest). Jimmy_D: I salute you

Wow. Win a £100 guitar. Pretty much sums up the place if that's a prize considered worthy of front page billing in skatesville!

Sounds about right. They've been a puppet club for many years now. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

Which is a fair point, but they keep banging on about having the bestest fans. When they stop pedalling the myth that they're anything other than fans like any team's fans, then perhaps we can get off their backs about shoddy attendance figures in their hour of dire need. They are an average provincial club, with average provincial supporters, who don't have any right to play at any particular level, field players of any particular class, but who do have the duty to pay their bills and taxes like any other business.

That's alright then. It was absolutely fine 25 years ago to train at random 3rd rate facilities, so it will be perfectly fine in 2013. I mean, it's not like much has changed in football since '89, has it? Crickey, I almost feel some sympathy for the poor fools that they have on their books. Almost...

Either Blackpool haven't realised the quality of the man they've just appointed, or they're doing a Burley: "No, you can't have him, we want to keep him. We really, really want to keep him. Oh, go on then... If you must ;-) "
-
I saw that too. Don't they *have* to get the 10 points this year, as they can't start a 2nd season in the same admin? I guess the only wriggle room would be if they came out of admin in the summer?

It's like deja vu all over again.

I can't believe that they are still using the argument that The Falklands are closer... FFS, with that argument surely they should be claiming sovereignty over Brazil and Peru!

Sounds to me that it's up to the player whether he'll continue. DFCDBs will offer him an extension, but he doesn't have to accept. That's the implication of The News article.

I know exactly what you're saying, but the FA don't see it that way. Any kind of contact head to head is considered a headbutt, and the third offence was just a push in the face - but any action that puts hand to face like that is considered a straight red. If the FA are consistent with their usual punishments, then that's three clear red card offences, and it should be a minimum of a nine match ban. As for Moyes: I'm glad he didn't do a Wenger, and condemned it. Did he say he say it at the time, or only on replay? I got the impression it was only on replay - would be interested to know what he'd have done if he'd actually seen it live? (On a similar point, I'd be interested to know what other managers - Fergie, Adkins, Redknapp, etc. - would do if they saw one of their own players blatantly headbutt an opponent, but the ref not spot it.)

That's the thing I don't get about this whole PDT thing. Yes, it's more realistic to search for one fan to put in £100k, but the £1000 share doesn't exactly encourage ordinary fans to get involved, either. Surely a £100 price point would have encouraged far more participants - they'd have raised more money and got a bigger buy-in from their fans. Jeez, even Neil Allen hasn't forked out for a whole share himself. And if the PDT can't get their head of propaganda to shell out a grand, what hope have they got for the rest of their fanbase? I'm sure it was depressing to see that the self - styled "bestest" could only muster 14 fans at the court case that could seal their club's fate. But no doubt they were still the loudest, most passionate and most inbred 14 fans the court has ever seen.
-
Seems fair enough to me. Makes you wonder why Farmery was in the paper suggesting they settle out of court. Unless...
-
What do you expect him to do? It's a perfectly reasonable reaction to that kind of message. If someone sent me a tweet saying Saints were ****, I'd block them too.

But now that the figure of 500 pledges has been bandied about, if they show that they've got more than that, it will look comparitively better. Had the 500 figure not been mentioned, people might actually focus on what the take up rate really is. The 500 could be a deliberate leak so that they can say 'It's not as bad as the nutjobs are making out'. Or am I giving them too much credit?
-
Here's a thought: PDT waste loads of time with their bid, racking up admin fees, putting off other, viable bids... but only getting 500 shareholders. All of which could make the PDT direct contributors to the demise of the very club they're trying to save. Like I said, just a thought...
-
That can't be right. PES assured us that never happens. Those boos earlier this season was them booing the ref, the other team, the oppo fans, the police, the fire brigade, the Chipping Norton Ladies Darts team... Yeah, one of those. Definitely not their own team, though.
-
But if you combine all three kids' ages that would make about 35... Perfectly legit for a 35 year old to buy a share. Well, it's as good as the rest of the PDT's mathematics...
