I past this onto my colleague who knows Matt, and apparently Stoke were mentioned a lot when he was at Gillingham. My colleague also thinks current family location will play a part in what happens, which is good for us

I tried! My colleague said he's unlikely to hear anything as Matt keeps things very quiet until there done and dusted. -

Jarvis is naturally right footed, but is comfortable with both feet - this is from someone I know who has known Matt since he was 3. -
A work colleague lives next door to Matts mum and has known him since he was 3. I asked last week if he'd heard anything and he said Matt was bound to move from Wolves, but hadn't heard of any link with us. I will ask him again tomorrow if he's heard any more.

My thoughts too. He was clearly very emotional in the BBC interview straight after the game, and looked like he was very concerned about his players. In the FL show, with the players celebrating, he looked like he had relaxed into it by then.

Blimey, I must admit to being genuinely surprised at the balanced, informed views of us on there. Apart from Bobby being offside, obviously, you blind fools!! :^)

Exactly - they'll go through the motions, we'll go though the gears, job done. -

It is very possible that Boro will not have anything to play for when we kick off - Cardiff/Leeds, Blackpool/Burnley, Brighton/Brum may all have gone the wrong way for them. They failed to beat an already relegated side at home tonight, we know a win will get us there and will be up for it with no pressure of a West Ham score to look out for. Even if it goes to the final game, the Bristol/Barnsley game may well have accounted for Coventry by then. As Strachan would say, begone, negative thinking man!! -
Fair play, well done - we're still coming for you!! :^)

One of them being the extra rest and preparation time for the final game, which shouldn't be under-estimated at this stage. -
Should Brighton be investigated for Saturdays game ?

I am aware this will fan the flames, but I spoke to a Brighton ST holder at work this morning, who went to the game. He said Gus picked the wrong team, packing the midfield and playing one up front. He said as soon as the team was read out, he turned to his mate and said they'd lose. They picked their smallest striker as the loan front man, played someone at right back who had been out with injury for 4 months, where he thought the guy that had been filling in (a loanee) had been playing ok in the meantime. He went on to say that they had no "out ball" as a result as everything kept coming back and that when Brighton fed the ball out to the full backs from the keeper, they were closed down really fast. He said that, together with the keeper having a mare, gave them little chance. -
I'd agree with that, plus the cross was always curling away from the keeper. KD doesn't come for crosses, he certainly wasn't coming for crosses of that type.

I think WHam will have a tough game against Bristol and lets not forget that they play Leicester on the Monday night, and we will have two days more recovery time than them to prepare for the final game. Providing we are ahead going into that, that could be a big factor. -
There's a link on hahasport, so looks likely to be a stream.

A Brighton ST holder at work who went last night tells me that Readings defence was rock solid and barley gave them anything - I didn't follow the game myself so can't comment on the rose tinted specticalness of that point of view, but will take it at face value. My take on that is for AL to step forward on Friday and pick the lock, but stay on your feet, nipper!!

I think this is about right, having looked a bit longer at the table and remaining fixtures. I can't see WHam not winning their last 3, so their next two are crucial - but I think Brum will beat them and maybe that will give Brighton the edge in a nervy game. It's all about whether WHam can make up the gap for me, so I'll ignore Reading. I can see us getting 7 points minimum as you say above - wins at Palace and home to Cov (who have an equally good chance of being safe or relegated if you look at their fixtures by then) plus the odd draw, so anything more than a point in those middle three becomes a bonus. Just get over the line, lads, get over that line! -

And if you don't have any luck, can you still instruct your players to kick seven bales out of the oppo for those games. Many thanks. -
I work with a Palace ST who goes to a fair few away games as well. He said to me on Thursday that they were almost going through the motions and today's result for them goes some way to back that up and if we manage an early goal, I think it will go the same way. I'm not dismissing them, but the first goal will be crutial and our 6K travelling support will also be a massive boost.

Good stuff. Having seen the size of their women, thought these pictures are more appropriate! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...miles-sea.html

Oh well, lets just hope for a mass brawl and a few Wham sendings off.
