I agree it is a very underwhelming appointment. it seems like we have appointed the Nigel Adkins equivalent of League 2 to Championship whereas Nigel was League 1 to Premier League. I m disapointed with the Sports Republic hierarchy, I though they would be more progressive than this. Add this to the fact that Jones style of play is not possession based, and more counter attacking. Do we actually have the players with the pace to do this?

I d kill to have broja in our team right now. I wouldn’t with Mara, I watched his games with Bordeaux, yes he scored a few towards the end of the season, but he has never impressed me with his forward play. I frankly don’t know why we signed him, we can’t afford to have a project that may or may not turn out well.

Go and see how Broja is playing this season and what Chelsea fans think of him. Pure pace, skill and strength. Way more ready than Mara.

We ve basically replaced Broja and Long by Sekou Mara in attack. How can we expect to be scoring goals with this ?

I have no idea why we signed Mara, He wasn’t anything special when i watched him for Bordeaux earlier this year. we could have focused on getting a more expensive striker with that spare money

I have and 5 months into my new job i was headhunted for another job with 30% pay rise which I didn t take as I wanted to develop myself in my existing job at the time.
