  1. Can I have a PM please?
  2. Just got the conversation between the journalist and Ammar Jemal on the http://www.mosaiquefm.net/index/a/Ac...medium=twitter translated by my tunisian collegues Seems as if there was a disagreement between the player who stuck up for his old club Esperance of Tunis. Esperance of Tunis were entitled to a certain percentage of the transfer fee. The sum owned to Esperance of Tunis on the contract wasn't explicitly written whereas the transfer fee owned to the Young Boys was. As a result, Ammar thought Cortese was trying to rip off Esperance of Tunis. Cortese then told him its none of his business and that the financial side of the deal should be dealt with his agent and not him. Ammar was upset and refused to sign the contract. The journalist then said that there were reports southampton would come back to which he answered he had had enough dealing with Cortese (his first impressions when he met him was that he was strange man) and that he would be pursuing offers elsewhere.(Brest) Seems a bit of a hot headed and stubborn person, not sure he would fit on our bus TBH.
  3. Right Brest have just signed a center back so looks like they lost out to us for Jemal! http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2011/20110803_170857_brest-recrute-gentiletti.html
  4. What do you think of alternating the home strip every season? One season he would have the sash and the next the stripes. Personally i loved the sash strip and would like to see it again next season. Changing the style of the kit every season would satisfy most people and would end the strip or sash debate.
  5. De Ridder is gonna be class
  6. Balotelli version gets my vote!
  7. He just posted on his FB: Ammar Jemal I hope to give as much as you want from me... Waitting for all... Does this mean he is about to sign?
  8. Yeah he just liked what i had put on his facebook page. Don't know what to think of it as maybe the picture he posted after indicates he is still thinking about it. Maybe he is leaning towards Saints, hopefully!
  9. He hasn't posted about his situation on FB in days. Think he has been told to keep his mouth shut until his transfer has been completed. (not necessarily to Saints of course)
  10. How did he get on today?
  11. Terrible!
  12. How long left? What s the time interval between games?
  13. Just sent him a message in French. Let's see if he answers...
  14. Anyone think there might be issues regarding his work permit? He made his debut in may 2010 for Tunisia, so hasn't played 75% of internationals in the last 2 years. There might therefore be a delay in the deal, the same sort of delay we had when we signed Raidi.
  15. Right i ve looking through the Tunisian forums (yes, i speak french). Appararently Ammar Jemal wants to leave the Young Boys. He refused to come back for training beginning of july. Stoke Brest, Caen and Saints have been interested in him. Stoke might be out of the race now as they have just signed Woodgate. Ammar can play in the center of defense and left back. He is left footed and lauded as very strong physically so wouldn't have a lot of trouble adapting to the english game. Has also got a decent left peg on him. He is considered as the future of the Tunisian national team and is one of their best players.
  16. Doesn't look good does it?
  17. I'd take Beats too. Beats still has a soft spot for us. If he was willing to come as back up to lambert and ultimetly provide further competition then why not? As far as i can remember he was passionate when he played for us. If things were going pearshaped under Sturrock and then saw Wigley being named as manager, he felt Saints were maybe a sinking ship and not up to his ambitions at the time. I don't hold any grudges over him leaving. If he believes in our project, I would therefore welcome him back with open arms.
  18. Well there is nothing in l' Equipe as of yet. Doesn't mean it won't be reported later this week.
  19. French players is IMO a very strong possibility: Somebody who is not afraid to get stuck in phyisically but also who is technically able to keep the ball and be perfectly integrated in Adkins style of play.
  20. Connolly will break the deadlock
  21. They are some very good strikers in the french leagues, notably those that play for the lower league clubs of the 1st division and in the top club in the second division. I m sure that they would not cost as expensive as the prices quoted for Maynard and Sharp.
  22. There are some way better strikers than CMS playing in top leagues in europe, who are available for less money than what CMS went for, this is where we are probably looking...English players are going for ridiculous money at the moment and i'm sure we are not prepared to spend big money on players who will improve our team very sligthly
  23. Old Stephen Crayney is starting for them too at left back!
  24. How about what French supporters do and it works quite well down here. "He who doesn't jump is not a Saint heh!" "He who doesn't jump is not a Saint heh!" "He who doesn't jump is not a Saint heh!" Sing that while jumping. Imagine the whole of the northern end doing that, it would look really cool!
  25. First Goal: A keeper should always cover his near post. Davis clearly didn't do that.
