I went to the game yesterday and as i live in Paris, got home at 3 in the morning (took the euro tunnel by car). Saturday games are way better because it gives me the sunday to recover. I was at work this morning at 8:30 so it góes without saying that i m totally knackered right now. But the game yesterday was so worth it!

He arrived with big expectations at the time, had an ok ish 1st season. Then got injured in the second and did not play after that. Maybe not the worse buy in history but we did smash our transfer record at the time and i was expecting big things for him. Had a good attitude but got a bad injury at the time which forced him to retire not long after.

We didn t really pay a fee for forecast plus he didn't really come with expectations

One thing i've noticed in most games is we don t press thé opposition team enough. If you see thé top teams in this league once the opposition gets the ball they are in there like a shot whereas we tend to sit back a little

Dunne and Barry are not thé way forward. Getting old and past it. I seriously think we should be looking at thé french league for players. There are really some hidden gems overthere and there are used to playing the 4-5-1 formation we've been using in pre season. The prices will also be cheaper than what is being talked about in england.

No need to worry for the lack of signings, we have strengh in depth in the squad ;-)

Varane is à quality CB. Very young but has to potential to become one of the best central defenders in the world. Would take him in a heartbeat

A player we should be looking at is romain Hamouma from caen. They havé just been relegated to Ligue 2 but this player has stood out for them over thé last 2 seasons. He would cost about 3 millions pounds and is being looked at by 8 ligue 1 clubs. Plays on thé right of midfield, is lightening quick very skillful and has à final ball on him. At 24 has à lot of potential and continue to progress.

Morgan Schneiderlin said not long ago in a French paper that the chairman had told the players that they were aiming for a top 10 finish. Would imagine that you would have to spend a lot to get there in our 1st season back in the premier ligue

I ve watched him for 3 seasons now in the French League, Hazard is the mustard. Won't take him long to adapt to the Premier League. This guy is a class act.

Watching the interview, Les Reed obsiously got it wrong and meant West Africa. Nearly the whole of West Africa is french speaking and I imagine there are trying set up an academy overthere. I ve been to Burkina Faso twice in the last 5 months as well as Guinee Conakry and everyone is obsessed with football overthere. They all follow the premier ligue and the french league and all the younsters dream is to have the opportunity to come and play in Europe. However talking to some people overthere, they don t have any infrastructre to develop players so maybe setting up an academy overthere can help achieve that.

I reckon we should bring in a French keeper. The quality of goalkeepers in the French league is greater than the Premier League and some playing for a mid table French side would cost much less that some of the names being mentionned.

Going to the Pompey game and leaving at 4 in the morning from Paris and getting to Southampton by car via the euro tunnel. Going there with 2 french mates of mine, I m in block 11 next to the Chapel stand. As I ve always been next to the Northan stand where it is pretty loud, does anyone who is used to sitting around where I am if the atmosphere is good at that part of the ground?

I am starting to hate the very sight of Brighton. Their fans are arrogant and think they are better than most clubs in England and their manager Gus Poyet is an absolute twwat and is never gracious in defeat. Last season thought we were a long ball side who didn't deserve to go up because we had a easy run in (a lot of matches at the end of the season that advantaged us over Hudders and PeterB).
