Belhanda is a class class player, has enormous potential, although he went off the boil a little last season. He had trouble finding some motivation to play for Montpellier who did not have a very good season having being champions the year before. Would take him in a heartbeat.

Sturridge just came off on a stretcher, with Welbeck only half fit, surely this paves way for Lambert to be called up for the Brazil match. Then again, Hodgson will probably say he is not needed because Walcott can also play up front. -
Monaco are not on the same level playing field as the rest of the clubs in France or anyone else in Europe. They have to pay way less tax to employ players than other clubs (3 times less if i recall) and players pay much less in income tax every than in France. Expect a lot of players wanting to go there this summer. The French press are already announcing Falcao to sign there on monday. Oh and they have a loaded Russian Billionaire as owner so that helps too ;-)

Have you looked at the prices of all the London clubs? I count myself happy that tickets aren't as expensive as some of the other clubs.

Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits
stevy777_x replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Saints
Well, it depends if the Liebherr continue to invest in the club. Let's be honest even with the TV revenue and premiership money, it is impossible to compete with the big boys. Without that extra investment from the owners, the players who signed new contracts recently(Spider, Shaw's pre contract agreement...) would no doubt reconsider their future here. -
Cortese if he can find similar investment. This guy, like him or not, has delivered on everything he has targeted so far and it is no coincidence.
-
If Cortese doesn't come out with a a denial on the story in the next few days then you can safely consider the story has been leaked by him and that he is putting pressure on the owners to change their stance on the future direction of the club.

stevy777_x replied to stevy777_x's topic in The Saints
Cheers for the advice, thought I would try my luck but yeah for sure 3 together is very difficult to find. -
I'm coming over to England from Paris with 2 friends for the weekend of the 18/19th May, and would be willing to pay more than the face value of the tickets. Thanks!

There was an interview on canal + in France with Morgan. He did say if a top 4 club came in for him, he would consider it but it would have to be good for the club and himself.

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season

Arsene Wenger? -
The England ranking is based on the matches english sides play in Europe (Champions league, Europa League). Red cards are not the only factor taken into account. Other factors include the quality of the football being played, if it is attacking then points are attributed, if it is too defensive then points are taken off. Points are also taken off if players and managers protest a referees decision etc...

The real question is : Are we ahead of Norway, Finland and Sweden? Since the end of last year, clubs from these countries have hardly played in european competition as they were all in majority knocked out. Have England improved on their 4th position? Not likely, with Nani's red card and Vertonghen red card this could have put a dent into our chances. Then again, its not all based on cards. http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/uefaorg/Respect/01/91/16/53/1911653_DOWNLOAD.pdf

Red and White Stripes Black Shorts next year
stevy777_x replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
I love this year's kit, actually makes a nice change, the red color is not the same as Liverpool's. With already 2 teams going with red and white stripes (Stoke and Sunderland), I am less inclined to revert back to that. A new area, new ambitions, new identity and a new strip. -
Watching the Liverpool highlights Omar rowe reminds me a bit of a young Nathan dyer.

Ramirez has been inconsistent this season. Class act against aston villa, Newcastle , Everton But not great in other games. We should give him time, he is still very young and needs Time to adapt. Javier pastore, a 36 million pound signing from Palermo to PSG last year was not that great in his first season, started off brightly then faded off. This season and récently he has been very very good and is starting to justify his privé tag. Players cannot turn it on straight away and need Time to adapt to the league they are in. Yes there are exceptions but the majority of Players do need Time

Deschamps announced his squad for the friendly against Germany and Morgan is not in it

According to eurosport, Liverpool have upped their offer to 10 million

Is Nick Harvey still with us?
-
Has it been said if he is bringing a back room staff with him? Have Crosby and wilkins left the club as well?
-
AC Milan sold Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva last summer to PSG for 60 million euros so yes they have money to do a deal

Michael Landreau, french goalkeeper from Lille, has mutually agreed with his club to terminate his contract. This guy is a class act, we should make our move straight away. Could be the ideal short term answer while Gazza matures. He has mutually agreed to terminate his contract because he did not get on with their manager anymore. And before you question this, he is not a troublemaker and hasn't got a bad attitude.
