  1. Oh dear. It seems that, although you say you do understand, it is pretty clear you still don't. We are not talking here about attendances from nearly 60 years ago. We are talking about an investor looking at the latest facts and figures - so, last season. He sees an EPL club that has smaller attendances than it's neighbour 2 divisions below.
  2. I think what was meant was that club A has far more core support (and peripheral support) than club B wil ever have - hence the reference to club A being in League 1 getting larger attendances than club B in the Premiership. It has nothing to do with stadium size as it would still have been the case if both clubs, A & B, had 50k stadia. And that point IS relevant to an investor. Do you understand now?
  3. Apologies if this has been posted before, but this article is worth reading.... http://www.legalnewsupdate.co.uk/?p=561
  4. I can honestly say that I bought a ticket for the 2003 Final and it cost me £675 off a tout. Darned good seat, mind...halfway line etc. Enjoyed every minute (except the result).
  5. Just take a look at this thread....they are so, so, so deluded. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2121776558 Didn't they also similarly eulogise 'Arry and StorrieTeller? You really would think that they would have learned by now...... You know, there are some times when I feel sympathy for the blue few and what they are going through then I B0ll0x, F ck 'em!
  6. AA's response.... AA's Response: "I am disappointed with the contents of your email. I will be in Portsmouth during thursday to saturday if you want to meet I will be pleased to correct you on the contents of your email and set the record straight. I take offence to your comment that we need to up our game. I do not accept anything you have said as constructive. Quite clearly the meetings with your various Group's have become counter productive. They were offered in good faith to create a dialogue between the supporters of the Club and the Administration team. In light of your current email and that the information you are taking away from the meetings is so far away from the mark, we are going to have to reconsider the necessity of any future meetings.
  7. big their fans up Isn't it Ian Darke commentating? He's a skate fan. Course he's gonna big 'em up. In reality, he must be embarrassed at all the empty seats! It truly is pathetic support.
  8. Thatcherites? That was 30 years ago. Give it a bloody rest and start living in todays world. This Labour government has been in power for the last 13 years and has has presided over one of the worst recessions ever, the ordinary man in the street is having to tighten his belt more than ever with high taxes and living costs and you still harp on about Thatcher! Get Real FFS.
  9. Without a rich buyer they are nailed on for liquidation.....there wont be a next season.
  10. Starts with a B, ends with a G and rhymes with HUNG
  11. Call me Mr. Cynical, but it wouldn't surprise me if the EPL are underwriting the fees for administration. They are the only one's in whose interest it is for Ploppy to get to the end of the season and fulfill their fixtures. After all Chanrai stated "he wouldn't be throwing good money after bad".
  12. PES, sometimes you come across as a decent bloke and fan, who talks a lot of sense.....but then you go and spoil it with just a touch of bitterness.
  13. Trouble is there may be one chairman at West Ham who may buy one of their players for, ooh, let's say, around £10 million......
  14. If Vantis' SoA does state that the club have been and still are trading insolvently (and it's a pretty fair assumption I'd say) and that also the directors of the club have seen this SoA, then surely they must be personally liable, at least from yesterday, for any debts incurred for knowingly trading whilst insolvent?
  15. isn't trying to sell players now a bit like shutting the stable door? I mean the SoA is about whether the club has BEEN and is CURRENTLY trading insolvently. This must be the case as Ploppy now need to raise cash to convince that they are not insolvent ergo they blinkin' well are!! Close the cheating filthy lying criminal bottom dwelling (see what I did there?)club down now!
  16. If they play their matches on Southsea Common they'll be getting a quarter of a million supporters every game!!
  17. What if they found that they were trading insolvently since the beginning of 2008 (just stick with me here) would it not mean that them winning the FA Cup should be expunged from the record books! Word of the month "expunged"......it just rolls off the tongue
  18. Lalana had a good game today. If he could finish properly and ping a ball correctly then we may have won that match and I would have said he had a fantastic game. Have to say we need to get someone other than Lambert to take free kicks and corners! Don't understand that decision at all!!??? In all we were undone by a goalie who ****ed up at times but got away with it, but who also kept them in the game with some great saves and O'Hara who bossed the midfield 2nd half and also the pace of Quincy, especially when we were tired and chasing the game. We weren't embarassed, we did well. Play like that every week and we stand a chance of not losing a match for the rest of the season!
  19. If Lalana could finish chances, instead of powder puff shots at goal we would have been out of sight. It's obvious that he is talented and always seems to find himself in goalscoring positions - he just hasn't got the timing when shooting. Think he should start taking lessons from MLT on how to strike a ball. There's the difference, it's all about putting the ball in the net.
  20. These two seem to contracdict each other? I think you may be confusing when a winding up petition is issued and when winding up commences. Happy to be proved wrong.
  21. What about the idiot on the end of the bell, er the bell end? Isn't Coco the Clown banned from St Mary's? If not, why not?
  22. Embargo lifted according to this..... http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2123086546
  23. So you went to the game then? You saw him have a mare then? FFS
  24. Bit rich blaming Lancashire isn't it. Did you go to the game? FFS
