    Leave off guly

You will find a fair few will also find themselves in that position I am afraid.

Totally agree. Giving him stick is really going to help isn't it. He is a clever player and will have moments of brilliance. He is a good passer of the ball but just lack a little pace. I prefer him to Puncheon who lacks the ball skill in my opinion. Lay off him. Was sat in Block 43 today (never again) and people behind constantly abusing him for 90mins. Ridiculous.
  3. He hasn't got a kid
  4. He is a quality CM, breaks the play up ever so well. Positioning is excellent and I don't agree about his passing, I think it is good. Yes he had a poor game against Leeds, but he has been fantastic all season for us. His only weakness is lacking on the goals, but they will come.
  5. Just seen a few of the lads at Costa in West Quay (Chaplow, Cork, Jos, Sharpy, Frazer), about an hour ago, guessing before they fly up to Leeds. Lallana and Foxy turned up as I was leaving and seemed to be walking fine although that means nothing.
  6. In all fairness I think any Championship centre back would have looked good against us that night. But I agree he is a good Championship player and would have him over Martin easily. Jos and Fonte is arguably the best partnership in the league. Can't think of any team that has two better CBs

I love Foxy. He is quality and the passion he shows is great to see. When he ran out at Pompey he was pumped up going absolutely nuts, then winding their fans up...love to see that.
  8. Nigel said he has a couple of knocks, so that is probably affecting him. Love him and he is going to be quality for us.
  9. Wow, very harsh. First game back in 3 months, I thought he did well, pressed the midfield which is what we have missed. He is definitely a contender for starting XI when fit...did you watch us in the games running up to Bristol away when he got injured? So I don't agree with one point you have made.
  10. Hate how almost every club has adopted the Just Can't Get Enough song now. The Kingsland north sing it to Tadanari, but have no lyrics which is laughable. The other Tadanari song that the Northam sing is much better.
  11. I thought we have the pipes installed but it doesn't actually work. I heard the St Marys pitch doesn't freeze because it is below sea level or something along those lines.

    I hope Foxy is OK
  14. Spot on. Yes our form isn't great, but those of you who actually went to the Cardiff game will take a lot from that second half and you cannot use the Birmingham game at all. We have two of the best strikers in the league now, along with Chaplow coming back which is fantastic. Can see Guly slipping down the pecking order relatively quickly but I was very impressed with Ben Reeves tonight when he came on, he was terrific. Morgan and Corky are our first choice CM's for me, having watched Hammond start today. Would have taken that 3-2 loss after they equalised, as if the likes of Lallana & Lambert had to play another 30mins, it could have affected our game against Burnley massively. Oh and to add, Lallana was brilliant tonight.
  15. Fair reflection from the Brum fan, although I thought their support was the worst I have witnessed this season. Have to say even Coventrys was better.

    Chaplow

Where about's were you sat? I imagine he is close to fitness now, but obviously with only 5 players on the bench this season, and the competition for places now, he won't be on the bench until fully fit. I expect him to play against Millwall in some capacity. Maybe half an hour or so
  17. Yeh thats the one, when Snodgrass curled one in the top corner. Baltic. Just saw the highlights and the ref has had a shocker for the second yellow. Hope everyone gets home safely. Dangerous out there. Coach driver did very well in the conditions.
  18. Just back in Southampton now, was on the coach, horrendous on the roads out of Birmingham, all the way home pretty much. Many cars being pushed up hills coming out of Brum. Thought we edged it tonight, Morgan and Puncheon played really well, but we aren't pulling the trigger in front of goal when we need to. Brum had a couple of chances, so draw is probably fair on reflection and I would have taken a point before the game. It was the kind of conditions where you knew fine well that the opposition could quite easily score a flukey goal and you go home gutted. Sharp looked good when he came on, was a shame Nigel didn't start with him, can see Connolly rapidly not making the bench in the near future especially with the likes of SDR and Lee to come in. Never a red, first tackle was fantastic and how you can get booked for the second is laughable. Credit to the fans who made the trip, I think that just pipped Leeds away a couple of season ago for the coldest I have ever been.
  19. Would have our back line over their back line any day. Spector is dodgy just like Carr is and he is getting on a bit. After our second half against Cardiff, I think Birmingham are playing us at the wrong time for them...can see Punch & Lallana running riot with Sharpy and Rickie knocking 3 or 4 past them. If this was last week, I would fancy Brum, but we have turned it around now I think. 4-2 to Saints is my prediction. Only real selection dilemma is does Adkins bring Hammond back in? Have a feeling it might be Cork and Deano.
  20. To the tune of 'Viva Ronaldo' (YouTube it if you don't know it already) : Tadanari Lee, Tadanari Lee, Tadanari Leeeeeee, Got him on a free and he eats Sushi, Tadanari Lee Much better than the version the Kingsland north were trying to get going which is just the 'Just can't get enough' tune that every club has decided to sing now. ZZZZZZ. Nice to have something new instead of 'LEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' or something else dull.
  21. Poor first half, however second half looked a lot better. Puncheon was our best player before he was taken off. Lambert played well and Lee looked very exciting when he came on. He has a lot of pace and is intelligent on and off the ball. Thought the weak link in our side was Connolly, but now we have Sharp to come in things look good. Draw probably a fair result, we looked shakey at a few corners and long throws which Cardiff should have capitalised on, few free headers. Take a point and move on to Brum where I think we will get a result. Also just to finish, Martin is growing into an excellent young centre half, very pleased with how he is playing.
  22. Always seem to be a 3-2 sort of scoreline when Cardiff come to town, and I remember that match at home when they turned a two goal deficit around. Can't see Chaplow starting, perhaps Lallana. We gave away two poor goals at their place and had numerous chances ourself that night, and I think we will win tonight after last weeks shambles. 2-1 both Lambert
  23. Sharp having medical
  24. Collins having a medical at the moment which is strange for a loan signing apparently. All terms agreed.
  25. Chaplow hasn't travelled.
