Yes he has been an integral part of the promotions but even at times last season he was out of his depth and now he is way out of it. He's had three games, and we've conceded 8 goals, also allowing the most shots on our goal out of everybody else in the Prem. Time to change something before we keep to concede sloppy goals. I don't understand why so many of you have the argument that he deserves to play because of promotions. Sorry, no, we need to stay up, and we won't with Fonte there all season in my opinion.

People on here say 'Give Fonte a chance in the Prem, he was brilliant for us in L1 and the Champ'. Well I'm sorry, he has had his chance now and is clearly not good enough. Praying this Japanese guy is decent, otherwise we will continue to leak silly goals which you can't do in this league unless you want to be relegated.. Like others have said, the rest of the team is sorted other than Fonte, Fox & K.Davis.

There is something wrong if he isn't up for the challenge.

Steven Davis is going to be magnificent for us, hopefully he's the midfielder who can get 8-10goals a season that we have been missing, but then again Deano got my hopes up first game last season. Delighted for Adz to get the armband too, absolute legend.

Look, Adkins is a professional football manager and has much more knowledge than us in the game, he will know his team and will know what he needs. I am assume that we had a CB or two on our list but for whatever reason we haven't been able to get them yet. There is no point panic buying a CB, we will wait until our player becomes available. People at the club know what they are doing. Calm down.

Peterborough away in the League Cup, can't remember the season but I do remember Saganowski being particularly awful along with the rest of the team. Closely followed by Swindon away our first season in L1 Followed by Leeds away when Snodgrass scored a peach. Think that was the coldest I have ever been at a football match.

Very interesting. The last point there makes sense if there is an issue between them. Tough to decide who is right. I would be siding with Adkins based on what Norwich and Swansea have done with 'smart deals'. Bringing in big time players could quite easily upset the squad harmony. It's a tough one but if Cortese is going to get rid then he needs to do it in the next few weeks, or else it could turn into one huge mess not being prepared for August.

Delighted for the four lads making the step up. Especially excited about Luke Shaw. I think he will be the first to break through into the starting 11. What do others think? Prowse is a CM isn't he? Seems a bit light weight but very composed on th ball.

Potentially a pay as you play contract? I can't see many prem teams taking a punt on Owen with his wage demands unless it is pay as you play to be honest. Good signing if this was the case. His presence in the changing room would be great for our younger players too.

Not every worker and their boss are all 'pally', hugging and high-fiving each other when they meet a target. At the end of the day it is a business.....as long as they get on in a business sense then there is no issue and I expect both are happy
