Absolute legend. He deserves an excellent reception. I will never forget what he did for this club and although I hope he doesn't score, he thoroughly deserves a few chants in his name.

I will always love Adz even though I hate seeing him in a Liverpool shirt and how he exited back in the Summer was wrong. But come on, look at what he did for us. He was sensational and although he will get a bad reception on Sunday, I will always be fond of him even if I hate telling myself that.

Couldn't find an appropriate thread for this, but today I've heard from a fairly reliable source that Clyne is looking to move on in the summer, with money being the biggest pull away. Shame really, but would tie in with his deal running out in 2016 and him deliberating over a new deal. Take this information as you wish.

We are going to get stuffed 4-0.

Very silly of Lallana. Fair enough sign these kind of things behind closed doors but in public as the club captain of Southampton Football Club I think it would have been very easy for him to simply say "Sorry, you know I cannot sign that". Especially with all the speculation, he knew fine well what he was doing and that there were people taking photos. The way Lallana is acting is telling me 'sell him asap'. Used to worship him but now my opinion has changed completely. Poor from him.

Awful news. If he goes then Poch has said he will leave too. If both go, expect a number of our top players to leave. Everything that has been build could easily go right down the pan and we could be back where we started very very shortly. Hopefully it's pure speculation and not true but I have a feeling that all these reports mean something is going to happen.

Quite easy to look at the fixture list instead of starting a pointless thread.

He definitely deserves a go this season, on his day he is unplayable.

Transfer deadline day thread (Summer 2013)
Genk replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
There is no doubt that Sharp deserves his chance in the BPL. Hopefully he gets his chance alongside Osvaldo. I think they would compliment each other well. Rickie needs a rest, I think all the England hype has affected him mentally and it is showing in his performances. -
Transfer deadline day thread (Summer 2013)
Genk replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
You actually moan about everything. If we hadn't signed anyone you would moan. I love how all of a sudden Cork has gone and Puncheon was integral to our results last season, utterly ridiculous. I trust that the people running the football club know what they are doing. Thank god you aren't in charge from your armchair in Austria. -
Any news on tickets on the night for the Saints end? Cork and Davis at CM for me

How's Guly been pre-season then? Turned up this year?

Chelsea want Baines.

Just back...haven't read the thread fully yet but here is my take: First half we were not at the races at all, seemed to give Wigan too much time and space and hardly produced an opportunity. At half time I was worried. However......second half we were completely different. Davis on for Ramirez was a good change. We pressed Wigan immensely and our closing down was excellent, the players looked incredibly fit, full of energy passing the 80th minute. Numerous opportunities in the second half, limiting Wigan to one real attack which they scored from. Stand out players today for me were: Lambert - Absolutely brilliant, looking in great shape, fantastic touch as always, great passing and good goal Schneiderlin - He is fast becoming a phenomenal midfield player. Great energy, passing and breaking up the play. Excellent performance. Cork - Once again he did all the basic things very well indeed. Like Morgan, his distribution was brilliant. Shaw - Caused their full back all sorts of problems in the second half. Not so good in the first half but nobody really was. Jay Rodriguez - MOTM for me. Some of his touches and skill were a delight to watch. He seems to be playing with confidence now. Good strength and awareness, hoping he keeps it up as he has huge potential. Slightly disappointed with Clyne and Ramirez today. There is no doubt the introduction of Lallana had an impact on us upping the tempo and Davis was very neat and tidy on the ball. Yes it is two points dropped, but with a fit Lallana coming back along with Fonte and Forren at the heart of defence, there is nothing to worry about. We will stay up comfortably playing some good stuff.

Might as well get Jonno Quick back in the side whilst we're at it!

Morale...has Gastons pay package had an affect?
Genk replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
No..Gaston, Rickie & Adz were all round Chappys the other night for a FIFA lounge. They all get along. Great harmony -
Perhaps a loan deal until the end of the season? Would take that. I read last week that Lloris wants away in Jan so not sure Spurs will let Friedel go.

Official website...image 47.. Lambert in the background take a look. He is happy here and isn't going anywhere. Liverpool...are you joking?!
-
If you can't beat Swansea at home then you have no chance of staying up.
-
It doesn't feel right because we messed up massively with our signings in the Summer and that is costing us massively now. The team is just not good enough, lacking that final 'killer' pass in the final third, and I think we will get relegated. It will give us the chance to rebuild with a decent squad for that league minus Lallana and maybe Ramirez, to come back up again and give it a better shot.
-
Davis is not good enough. Gaston wasn't fit, could clearly see that. Lallana underperformed. Lambert ended up out wide far too much for my liking. Yoshida is useless. Felt that Clyne and Fonte were alright, plus Shaw looked alright when he came on too. Give him a chance against Swansea instead of Fox? Hoping that wasn't a farewell from Adkins...there aren't many managers out there that can do much more with our current set of players. Gazza needs to stay as number one!
-
I'd rather not end up like Birmingham in the Championship last season. Clearly affected them being involved in Europe. Staying up is our priority, not winning a league cup!!

Delighted with todays result. We only conceded two goals.
