Great deal if this goes through. IMO we will have two of the top four proven strikers in this division. Lambert Beckford Jackson Barnard A good CM and we are ready to roll

He's assuming we sign Simeon Jackson before Wednesday. Although he would be 'cup tied' as mentioned.
-
May find that Thomas plays at RB and James plays in the centre with Schneiderlin.
-
We need an 'old head' in midfield who can provide a link to the strikers

When he first signed I thought he was brilliant when we went on that run of 12 unbeaten or so. However since the end of November he hasn't seemed to be as good for some reason, funnily enough around the time he was given the captains armband, however I don't think that is the reason why. Perhaps he has been carrying an injury for sometime or maybe needs a rest. I really do not know. -
Haven't seen it anywhere else, but how serious is Hammonds injury??
-
Connolly was not fit, based on the fact that he did not warm up before the game at all or at half time
-
Not a starter but someone you can rely on if needed to come on and do a job reasonably. May not be pretty but to be fair he does it ok in my opinion.
-
He didn't even come out at the start of the warmup. Strange one.

Agree with Lallana to the right wing but I'm not totally convinced about playing Lloydy in there with Morgan. Pardew has mentioned another midfielder to bring in so hopefully its a good one! As much as I like Lloyd James, I can just see him being used as a squad player, filling in when injuries occur, especially if another CM is brought in. It is good to have someone like him on the bench that can play a handful of positions if needed to and can perform in these positions to a reasonable standard.

Anyone else at the game today think that Wotton had a good game? As much as he gets stick, he does break the play up well. He may not be the most talented footballer but he does a good job. Also thought's on James at RM? Personally I'm not too sure about this position but he looked handy when he cut inside. Tidy touches and does look for that killer ball instead of passing it back.
-
Thought he was quite good today. Like Redandwhite91 said, he didn't get much support and tended to cut infield more than use his pace down the wing. Crosses looked good too. Good to have back. Think Lallana is more useful on the left than upfront however. Perhaps Lallana on the right and Holmes on the left?? James doesn't have the pace to play on the wing I don't think although he had a reasonable game today.

Connolly did not take part in the warm-up. He may have been on the bench simply to make up the squad.
-
Spot on.

How?

Absolutely ridiculous. Lee holmes had a relatively good game today with his crosses looking dangerous (better than anyone else in our team). Pardew was forced to take hammond off, and he made the right decision to put antonio up top with his pace. Stop looking for people to blame simply because we couldn't defend properly.

Just coming out of 'the cage' at millwall. Millwall deserved a point to be fair. If it wasn't for kelvin we could have easily been 3 down. Rickies goal was very lucky with the deflection but it is incredibly gutting to concede literally straight away. I think it was semi who let his man run at him and cut inside to slot it past Davis. Would have taken a point before but losing the lead that way is gutting. Antonio looked very good feeding off Lambert upfront. That is how we need to use him, as an impact sub. Finally holmes got his chance and he looked very useful! Fonte looks class but seaborne was shakey at times. Wotton did well when he came on for Hammond but semi looked quite lazy.
-
Any idea how many we have sold?
-
In terms of Jackson or Barnard. I don't think either of these would come until just before the window shuts (if they do) as their club will be holding out for as much money as possible.

According to a Palace forum and a user who apparently knows somebody in the Saints Finance Department: 'I must be a plonker as well because I heard from a very reliable source who works in St Marys finance department that a bid for Danns was being planned and a wage offer was being tabled. This is exactly the same person who told me that Fonte was at a medical when everyone on here heard from a 'source' that he was in training in Beckenham.' http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=93684&page=14 Would be excellent if we signed Danns, then we would only need another Striker for me and we would have a team very very capable of making the playoffs.
-
Is this the player Pardew was referring to as the one who hadn't been doing too well at his current club (or words to that effect).
-
I said 'if' based on what somebody else posted earlier today.
-
I trust Pardew. Seaborne is a younger CB who he clearly rates, so I am not going to argue. Yes it would have been nice to see Ward play for us but perhaps another CB wasn't needed in all honesty. If it was down to Ward asking for more wages at the last minute then I'm glad NC called it off. Having greedy players is not what we need. I'm looking forward to seeing Seaborne develop under AP.

Bart's kicking is woeful. If he was to improve his distribution then he would be a very good keeper. Davis will start this Saturday I feel. Bart for the JPT games?
