My AHT is below the team avarage, and Our team always reach our KPI's. The only thing she has on me, is my 'after call work' and thats about 5 seconds more then the teams 'after call work' She has said that when me and this other lad are turining around talking and stuff, what is does for staff moral in other teams. I didnt have a clue what she was on about, I thought staff seeing people get on would help. I enjoy working with the people I do, and enjoy coming into work and having a chat with freinds when there are no calls. Window cleaner, do you really think thats the case? my dad, and a family friend have said exactly the same. in regards to warnings, I have a stage 1 for absence or 'going awol' ( see preivous thread ) and a couple of verbale warnings for minor issues. thanks agian, connor

Good people of Saints Web, here I am again, as you can probably tell by now... I'm not getting on very well in my job... Anyway, Im a young lad, 21 working in a call centre. I get on really well with most of the people In my team, in particualr the lad who sits at the desk behind me. Both big saints fan, football fans etc. between calls and at quiet times, we both turn around for a chat about the previous or upcoming games, football news and god knows what else. I was brought in to the managers office yesterday afternoon, and it was made clear that from this point I was no longer allowed to turn around and speak to him or any other memebers of the team, and that I must sit at my desk and face the computer screen. I currently have nobody sat next to me, as she quit last week. This has not been said to any other members of staff, and can carry on talking with eachother. she gave me the whole 'you come to work to do a job, not make friends', thats fine, I know im here to do a job. when I questioned this, her reply was ' if you are not cut out for this job, you can find a new 1' now, that is what bugged me! can she even say something like that? further to this, today she has gave me the delightful news I am moving desks..... to the one next to me, the girl who lefts empty desk. then the new person starting next week, will be going in my seat? make sense of that. cheers guys.

We wont play in stripes or yellow while Nicola is here. He doesn't like either. Adam is getting frustrated at being subbed constantly, but Poch does not want to upset some of the other players, and he see's Adam as the 'easy option'. ( the bit about kits is just what I heard from someone in the club shop, and the bit about Adam, I can guarantee is 100% truth. )

A friend of mine spoke to Adams dad a few times last season at away games, and was told even though he was playing games, he was not training properly due to an ongoing injury problem. the only reason I can see is that he can not last 90 minutes because of it.

Hi guys, Had my disciplinary hearing yesterday, here is what happened: presented to me last week was a new letter informing me of the hearing for 'poor timekeeping' and alleged gross misconduct ( going awol ) the evidence provided, was 2 occasions I was late plus the time stated in this thread. One of the occasions was me being 4 minutes late for my shift. but was diverted a different route. 2nd occasion, roadworks near ocean village, me and 2 other colleagues on my bus got off and walked and we were 25 minutes late. and the 3rd occasion seems to be what has triggered this. also included, were 2 emails from my boss stating that poor time keeping could lead to bla bla bla... forgot to include my email i sent at 3:45 thought didn't they? anyway, took my union rep in with me, who absolutely destroyed them and tore them a new ass hole when it came to the 3 occasion regarding my niece. they still tried to give me a written warning, then suggested I ride a bike from hedge end to Southampton. all they kept going on about was me not following procedure and awol and such. union rep, said common sense needs to be applied in this situation, due to the nature of my work and the consequences that could follow if i had made a mistake, due to lack of sleep. they adjourned, come back in and it was thrown out. so happy days! thanks for your adivce, all! Thank you for the advice, Weston! Appreciated. I think that’s what I am going to do, let them get on with it and just see what happens next. I won’t mention anything to them, until they show me their hand. Exactly what I was thinking, this is where my main problem is. AWOL is a lot worse and looks worse on a record, rather then just absent, and as you say, I was late, not ‘awol’. If that was to happen, I think would just accept it and just move on; I would still be a bit annoyed? I’m not really sure. I guess that’s just my immaturity coming through, I am only 21. I understand that, but where my parents are away, and my sister being 17, do I have no legal responsibility or being the ‘responsible adult as I am over 18? I know the whole ‘old enough to have a kid thing’ but she’s 17, and she does not drive, so being made to sit down hospital with a young baby, lugging a car seat around, overnight stuff if it was needed. I just thought it was the right thing to do. I am trying not to; I will just see what happens next week when my union rep is back. For what its worth, other line managers on my floor, the assistant floor manager and other colleagues agree that they are being a bit harsh, considering what happened. Thanks again.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the advice! thought id reply to this one, to try give you as much information as possible. 1. I have done what I thought was best at the time, taking everything into consideration. 2. Reported my lateness by email, as I work in an office, nobody available between 6pm and 7am. No answer phone available. Sent it to my line manager, and floor manager. 3. This is my main problem, AWOL to me, is not turning up completely. They were fully aware of what had happened, I promised them I would be in, and by 12pm. They did not cover my shift; I went in and completed the rest of my working day. Yes, will be paid for the hours that I did work. 4. 3 missed calls, 1 voicemail, and a reply to my email. 5. I asked my line manager if I could have a word, as I was not happy about AWOL, going down on my record. She then said,’ can you come into this room, we need a meeting about it’, she informed me that I would be able to fight my case in a disciplinary hearing. What happened Tuesday night/Wednesday morning is apparently what triggered the action of a disciplinary. Over the past 6 months, I have been late to work 3 times due to my bus. Never missed it, just general traffic, one accident where a man was killed and I still got in trouble. I’m not bothered if they want to discipline me for that, but what I don’t agree with, is having this happen because a family member needed hospital attention. No opportunity to have a witness, no notes were taken and nothing signed. I have currently refused to sign my return to work form, to confirm my absentness as AWOL. This was not technically the proper investigation/disciplinary hearing. I work for big outsourcing company and am just shocked at the way this has been handled. I know its not really their problem, but nobody has even cared to ask how my niece is or anything. I understand procedures need to be followed, and the consequences if they are not so. But they can use discretion, and common sense needs to be applied in situations like this. Its got to the point, where I’m now taking this personally. Some of the stuff I do is quite sensitive, and if I made one mistake, being tried would not be a good enough reason. What I have tried to explain, is that going to sleep at 4, straight through until around 10, gave me a good unbroken sleep. If I woke up at 7, to phone them and tell them I wont be in or late, I would of slept a hell of a lot longer, and most probably wouldn’t of gone in at all. It seems I should have just taken the whole day off, as I have got the same punishment for coming in for over half the day.
