  1. Which manager would that be?
  2. Martinez surely
  3. I've no idea if we should appoint Silva or not, but I do think it's odd to see the number of posters who seem so clued up on his management ability. How many of us watch Hull on a regular basis? When Spurs wanted MP I popped over to their message boards, and the majority of the comments were hilariously off-the-mark (unproven, not a great style of footy etc. etc.) and, even though I didn't want them to take him, it annoyed me that the fans could be so ignorant of how good a manager he actually was. I would wager that any Hull fan reading this thread can empathise with the sentiment. Maybe Silva isn't the right man for the job, maybe Puel won't even be replaced, but let's not pretend we actually have much of a clue of how good Silva is- a lot more goes into management than the 5 mins of highlights we see on a Saturday evening.
  4. Are Saints going Wilde again?? #unfinishedbusiness
  5. Gabbiadini is bloody good

    whoooooosh
  10. Good spot. The leak has certainly got the socks spot on!
  11. "New Saints Manager" would work, but some might think it's a thread about Craig Harrison.
  12. Interesting! Was the briefing delivered by the management team or Les?
  13. Not attacking you, but I've seen a couple of posts using style of football against AVB, but none have applied the same logic to FDB. A dutch poster on here claimed he played dull football, and it seems they aren't the only one... https://m.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/4iyiaa/frank_de_boer_leaves_ajaxdays_after_his_agent/ I just don't see how FDB would be a continuation of our style. I can't remember many occasions during the last five years when our play would have been described as dull but effective. I'm not defending AVB particularly, but let's at least apply the same rules to both him and FDB.
  14. Maybe then we'd have players staying long enough for a testimonial, or join the u21 coaching staff after they've retired.
  15. Totally agree. I don't know enough about Russian football, but considering both Emery and Yakin flopped at Spartak Moscow, maybe AVB did a better job at Zenit than he is credited with.
  16. Hey leave him alone, we all have a right to an opinion! Comments like that drag this place down, it was much better in the good old days.
  17. Oh God, you're back again...
  18. Judging by Cook's ability to spot talent... Maybe the transfer-listed trio are too good for Pompey?
  19. That's what she said.
  20. The 'major issues' that you mention- loans, developing youth- are both the same one issue and, in the grand scheme of things, not that major. Your logic that he can't be any good because he was once employed in a more prestigious role is obviously flawed if you spend a bit of time thinking about it. Happy to suggest why if you disagree. You're right, it's a forum. You stated your opinion, somebody else disagrees. Seems pretty standard to me, no idea how that related to Brexit.
  21. Lazy design if you ask me- the shoulder sections look to be from a completely different shirt.
  22. Zlatan doesn't come to Southampton. Southampton goes to Zlatan.
