  1. Isn't that Kelvin in the background of pic 20?
  2. The marketing campaign is a parody of the protagonist in the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix. Had you seen it, you obviously still might not find the club's efforts amusing, but it's possibly a bit tough to judge a parody if you've not seen the thing it's based on, no?
  3. So have you watched Fyre Festival or not?
  4. Except we don't know how much of a say he gets nor what is the new structure.
  5. We can but dream.
  6. The long-awaited Virgin takeover finally happens around Christmas, just in time for us to flex our muscles in the January 2020 window. Euro qualification minimum.

  10. Seem to recall the Spurs players similarly didn't like the training under Poch when he first joined them...
  11. Sunday Mirror suggests Steve Round... https://www.skysports.com/football/transfer-paper-talk Villa fan reaction to his sacking (not that it means much) https://www.villatalk.com/topic/15480-steve-round/?page=15

  17. Fair enough, it's a bit curate's egg- depends how you see it. The cross for West Ham's second goal was great, as was Chicharito's movement, so I don't hold too much against Maya for that. What I did notice was the amount of important tackles and interceptions he made, not to mention that it was his persistence that got the winning penalty. Ultimately we know that Maya works better with a commanding CB partner, that will always be the case. I honestly think that without him yesterday we would have been much, much worse. NB it's the first game I've been to see live for about 3 years, so maybe my eye for a player is a bit rusty.
  18. Seconded, easily my MoM!
  19. Bit late to the party here, but I'd disagree with the shadow comment. Korea has a stellar reputation in Asia despite still being relatively unknown in the West. Koreans are proud of the country's rapid economic development (something even China has tried to learn from), while K-pop etc has permeated other Asian countries in the same way that American pop music has the rest of the world. I've not ever come across a sense that Koreans feel they're living in the shadow of China or Japan, quite the opposite in fact. There could be an argument that some feel in the shadow of the U.S., but that's a different debate altogether.
