Good to see they're still trading from PO4 - the only postcode named after a local derby.

I think some people are confusing a stammer with senility - I'm no medical expert but just because he stumbles over some words it doesn't mean he's senile... Or perhaps they just like taking the piss out of speech impediments, which let's be fair, was considered top banter, between the wars. Either one is an unusual approach, especially when you consider the obvious signs of serious mental issues that were displayed by the previous president, the man behind the senility allegation - a follow-up to his hit singles Obama isn't American, All Mexicans are Rapists and Let's Inject Bleach.

I wasn't convinced but in fairness the fish do seem happier, insolvency experts are planning for a busy year, ex-pat bankrobbers might be coming home, Scottish trawlermen are getting some nice weekend cruise breaks in Scandinavia, lorry drivers have their own county as a theme park and gravediggers have never had it so good. 🙂👍

Was it the guy fielding at Turd Man?

Turks makes a very good point, again - we've been fortunate to have such competent ministers, experienced professionals with integrity, guiding us through this crisis. If some bloody marxist-woke-loony-leftie-trans-remoaner-liberal elite-snowflake-BLM-pinko had been in charge dishing out taxpayer backhanders to their mates and fucking up the economy, we could have had 100,000 dead. Boris has been a fucking hero in very difficult unprecedented circumstances, and thanks to his astute and decisive approach, we lead the world in every field of human endeavour, and our fish now look happier too.

So we're waiting for him to adjust to the weather... Did he not pack a coat?

This government is a right mess - with the emphasis on right. It's an Eton Mess.

If one family in ten trades a voucher for shit, that means 90% of families in poverty are eating tonight.

The NHS parcels were the same last summer, less than a tenner of often really poor quality food, often not even wanted - £40 each to the taxpayer. Unboxed cereal bags, bizarre soups, tuna, soap and tea in the same bag, and much of the 'fresh' produce I saw went straight back in the bin it must have been bought from. Someone did the stats at the time and even if you spent £10m on a distribution hub and accounted for delivery charges, the profit margins were in the region of £9m - a week. It was an incredible lottery win for the companies awarded the gig - people were able to retire on one government contract.

I need to hear Truss talking about pork markets again. But even if you disagree, we as a people voted for these regulations restricting meat and dairy exports, our government created them. The EU is respecting our sovereignty and imposing our deal. While sandwiches appears petty, when you delve into the detail behind the Daily Mail outrage, these are the new rules that we asked for and celebrated. If you want petty, try taking an apple into Australia. Their country, their rules - as we respectfully say in the UK.

I presumed they'd finally stopped trading. Nice to hear that they're still out there somewhere. Eight years to go now in the Eisner plan to see pompey competing with Barcelona and Real Madrid....

So are you both saying that Neil did everything he could and it was Boris at fault, hiding and dodging scrutiny? That's not a good look for a statesman.
-
His reputation was damaged during the last election when he did give both barrels to Corbyn, Swinson and even Sturgeon - but failed to secure any time with his old chum and colleague Boris Johnson. That episode was a long way from balanced, and his rebuking of the PM following that failure was nowhere near as damaging as the soundbites from his attacks on the other three. That was the week he lost his reputation for giving everyone the same treatment.

Now I know for sure that this is a comedy thread! Good work guys - Happy 2021 to everyone of all sides, may your arguments retain comedy value and continue to lure in the unwary to get irate for little gain. 😊

From PPE to testing, I've not seen anything to suggest that there is a cabinet minister capable of handling a rollout of this size. This time they need to get serious logistical help from properly experienced people - not their mate who runs a sweet shop. This is going to be hugely complex so there will be mistakes along the way - batches not arriving, staff being a bit rubbish here and there, but as a whole, we really need this delivered much better than the rest has been.

I did, but I'm more interested in Saints.

Adams getting a kick in the head was an accident, Theo getting studded down his calf so late it was off the ball was definitely not, and a proper referee would have dealt with that. It was a little bit Puel tonight, hopefully through fatigue. We're doing okay.

The answer to Brexit and Covid is clearly to reopen the shipyards. As the UK leads the world in every field of human endeavour I'm sure we can build enough new cruise liners to house all the ill, and with Boris having negotiated for our waters to be bigger too, we have more room to moor them all. Once the virus fades away we can then transform them into battleships and get a few wars on the go against some little countries - maybe develop an empire... Sounds like a project for Chris Grayling.

Happy Non-Denominational Winter Holiday Festival!
rallyboy replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Or as Dave Allen would say, may your God go with you. Happy Friday everybody - even the angry ones, they need peace and love more than most. 🎅 -
Delayed response in February, Boris shaking hands, Dido Harding's Cheltenham Festival allowed to run, PPE opportunities missed then contracts awarded in a corrupt fashion, dither and delay over borders and airports, time wasted on failed systems when launching a robust testing regime was absolutely key, U-turns, MPs lying, laughable appointments of key roles, lessons from other countries ignored, NHS staff exposed without kit, billions of taxpayer pounds wasted, old people left to die in care homes, science ignored, more U-turns, the public and scientists gently blamed, figures manipulated, targets missed but lied about - and you can be sure the final trick will be to delay and dodge an enquiry that would expose the most inept and corrupt cabinet in living memory. Anyone who seriously thinks they've done a great job needs sectioning - look at them, they couldn't run a fucking bath.

Nigel Farage is a hero? What an interesting way of looking at the world.

Entry to the ground was very simple, ID partially-checked, no queue. It was nice to be back and I was fortunate to make the draw for game two but....it's an odd experience. A bit like watching a reserve game, yes there was atmosphere but it's pretty quiet and relaxed. As for people who choose to sit in Row F regularly, you can't see half of what's happening across the pitch! 😊

Anything that makes stadiums less of a safe haven for racists and makes them get all angry is definitely time well spent. And everyone sensible who can see the need for the message perfectly understand the differences between similarly-named campaigns, can grasp the bigger picture about football, and as a result of being informed are pretty chilled about the whole thing. Racists like to make mischief to distract from the facts - but life is too short to get angry about nowt. 😊

Tipner is technically an actual dump. Toxic waste.

If I was looking to attack the opposition on anything I'd rather discuss topics like Barnard Castle, bullying at work and absent fathers before mentioning the subject of wasting taxpayers' money. PPE.
