The sun's shining down south, Saints have made some interesting signings, the season is here and stadiums are opening!!.....yet there are still people frothing at the mouth and bickering on here about whether knee should be in a capital letter or what colour fucking grass should be if it's going to be knelt upon. For the casual observer there is no longer anything to be achieved by making any point via this lame and asthmatic donkey of a thread - it's just become noise....of varying shades.
-
Rarely has a thread gone nowhere and achieved so little at such pace. In fact this 'debate' could last forever unless someone is brave enough to put it out of its misery... #boltgun

Disliking it is one thing, you can ignore it, as many do. But booing it is way more than thinking it's a waste of time. Booing it is a massive statement.

Seems like a good and inexpensive deal for a young player with genuine potential, what's not to like? Our policy of giving young players game time has clearly tipped the scales in our favour - it's a yes from me. And if he does well for us and looks world class, let's try not to be too surprised when he goes back to Chelsea.

Bill Gates is making me do things, I'm scared.

Player gets head turned and ideas above his station after being gently tapped up while on England duty. Nice.

It was just a game to Cummings. When he admitted that he twisted the truth just to wind people up and that his real role was to push through the agenda of a couple of dozen multi-millionaires in the background, alarm bells should be ringing - even among the Brexiteer MPs he described as morons. Was he lying then or now? Either way he's conned quite a few people and he and Boris are chuckling all the way to the bank.

I've paid my season ticket today, if some of that is going to look after a young Saints player who may or may not have a future in the game, I'm happy with that.

That's not a very polite nickname for a senior police officer.

It's a valid point that every club has idiots around, but these guys are not kids and they are meant to act professionally - and their views and mindsets are VERY clear. No place for them in football, or society. I'd say the same for players from any club spreading mad hate like that - sack em, today.
-
Chris Waddle?

I thought Rashford helping poor kids was too political so I'm boycotting the game, I might even pose in the car park with an angry face and my thumbs down.

We spent big to get out of League One. They have been there so long now they've spent the same amount, to not get out of League One.

Have you not met the general public? 🙂

UK taxpayers launch a battery production plant. Nissan gets the deal of the century. Both sides of the Brexit debate claim victory. It's probably in the middle somewhere. And Farage makes up shit for cash.

I'm just glad I was able to help. 👍

When it came to gatherings indoors, the law stated: "No person may participate in a gathering... which consists of two or more people and takes place indoors." There was an exception for work purposes but only if the gathering was "reasonably necessary". "I cannot see how that exception could apply in the circumstances," Adam Wagner, a barrister from Doughty Street Chambers who is an expert on the lockdown restrictions told BBC Reality Check. "Based on what we know, this seems to me to have been an illegal gathering." Which means.... Hancock. Broke. The. Law. The End.

He resigned when he discovered how much more The Sun has on him, but that abrupt U-turn has left those ministers etc who defended him with a fucking great omelette on their faces. And the stench of putrid corruption around his tenure still hangs heavy in the air. While he no doubt plans to return like nothing has happened, there are still a hundred questions to answer about where the money has gone and why. oh but Rallyboy we needed stuff quickly, so quickly, his friends and family were the best and cheapest suppliers on every occasion, he broke no laws, his close friend Dido is brilliant too and so good with budgets and data, her husband checks thoroughly on corruption and he says their friend Matt is a hero, he only fucked this aide on weekdays and as taxpayers that was good value for us, and her brother deserved the £28m contract he was presented with, it's Matt's personal life after all, he only lied at home, never in the office, no, no, he wasn't open to blackmail, he was a Covid hero, he developed the vaccine himself between office shags. and he didn't personally murder all the old people, it was lazy nurses and marxist immigrants, anyway the old folks had their lives, blah, blah, whatever...😕
-
If you mean on this occasion, because he does have history, at the time of that encounter indoor gatherings between two or more people from different households were illegal unless in the course of their work, and only then under strict social distancing conditions, or for visiting a dying relative. Not guidance, law. Perhaps some people consider that giving taxpayer money to yet another friend and fucking her were part of his work - if so, he's not guilty, though I think Mrs H doesn't consider the matter closed yet. I suspect most reasonable people think he's crossed a line here, don't you?
-
There is only one sackable offence now - upsetting Carrie. This has become the most corrupt and inept cabinet in living memory, and the PM has supported Hancock today even though he's up to his neck in dodgy dealing sleaze and bodybags, and broke a law he'd signed himself. Alan B'Stard spins in his grave - if it wasn't our money it would be hilarious.
-
When you say double-jabber do you mean Matt Hancock?

The poor standard of refereeing in the Premier League has been highlighted by the Euros - so far we have seen nothing as mad as the decisions that baffle everyone a couple of times a week in England. I'm sure some ref will make a name for himself before the final (hopefully not one of the Premier League ones) but the general standard so far has been much higher than here, on the pitch and with VAR.

Had a glance last night, it was like some sort of school TV project. Two people were bumbling along over the top of each other via appalling audio on a set fashioned from elements recovered from a fly-tipping incident - they occasionally cut to graphics that didn't work. Any actual content was lost in the mediocrity.

If they are indeed finally attempting to operate in a solvent manner they should be applauded. It's taken approx six bankruptcy events and 130 years for them to consider financial fairplay, but it's progress. 👍
