What are Saints players current transfer values
rallyboy replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
if you took the whole squad to Bursledon next sunday morning I reckon by the end you would be happy to leave them there leant up against a bin. Stick Davis on Ebay, the rest can go in the three for a quid box. -
after the last great escape failed most of the ringleaders were shot. And my trousers are full of dirt, but that's another story. I am hoping that the entire squad will be gunned down this time.

a message to those poor brave souls that went today (not me, I'm semi-plastic!) - even with our dissenting factions, the support has been the best thing about the club this year, far better than any of the players deserve. And presumably next week in a show of solidarity for a new owner we will stand head and shoulders above the useless tossers not fit to wear the shirt, AGAIN. So well done to those that have kept the faith and put their money and sanity on the line - long live the club, but bol7ocks to this shameful team, can't wait until you ALL bugger off. (with the odd exception, but you could count them on your dangly parts)

Now I reckon that if we don't get at least a point against Burnley the Forest game might be needed to be upgraded to a must-win..... Not surprised at all by today, we all know the team is the worst ever, they have proved it again - let's just save the club. The fans have been far more supportive than any of the players have deserved, we need to put on a brave face for the consortiums again next week. I can't see that all potential buyers will be put off by the results, they knew we were a crap team and a major rebuild was needed so that hasn't changed, staying up would have been a bonus rather than a requirement, and if anyone had based their whole business plan on us staying up then they are as deluded as the last clown and best they move along.

Matt and Gazza in the same team?... That would have been amazing, winning/losing games 15-13 and making Match of the Day extend by ten minutes for the goal of the month competition. And player of the season? - only one man has really made me smile this season - Nathan Dyer.
-
How about a Moderator-policed ceasefire until the end of the season? I have strong feelings about how we came to be where we are but I can't face slagging Rupert off again, it gets boring. If we have new owners soon then we will have plenty of time later to reflect and charge people with war crimes in the close season, and if we don't have new owners then we will have shedloads of time to set up a proper tribunal with a gallows.

Why didint the fans save us from administration?
rallyboy replied to Frank's cousin's topic in The Saints
People are happy to put money into the club. People weren't happy giving money to Mr Lowe. A simple concept. -
Dyer is our player of the season - he gets banged up in Pompey and only returns to end their run as cup holders after 69 years trying to win it. Not only that but he scores in front of the Fratton end and celebrates by inviting all the grubby chavs to be quiet. An oasis of cheer in a desert of ****e! But the money should mean we can now fulfil the fixtures. It is often obvious on here who has genuine knowledge, and also those who heard that Bill Gates, Mourinho and a Baltic consortium just got a taxi from the airport.... So thanks to those who come up with info, I glean bits myself that I know are true but you become reluctant to add to the debate as there are so many people who dismiss everything and then forget to apologise when they look like a ****.

I'm not a scaremonger but my understanding is like one or two others, that we are struggling to make it as far as the Burnley game. The finances have obviously been managed more badly than any of us realised, and that is saying something. If someone had said in January, we must sell or we won't be able to complete our fixtures then maybe more would have taken notice and would have realised that the club itself was in far more trouble than other clubs on the brink of administration.
-
I could never understand how the police could stand on the pitch perimeter and watch people die, yet senior officers did nothing to halt it. People make mistakes under pressure, sometimes they apologise and give people closure. Other times they fabricate a new version of events or muddy the waters with conjecture and irrelevant information to protect themselves. Sorry would go a long way. As for dragging up the Sun's anti-scouse agenda, if you wouldn't say it to the face of a parent who buried their child after that game, maybe best you don't post it here either.
-
I now fear that unless a consortium gets its act together in the next seven days the club will fold without completing the season. And I am not sure there is much we can do other than just wait and hope that the administrator can save us. If there is still anyone out there worried about formations, blame, past managers' records and other trivia - it is time to wake up to the very big picture, you may have already/be about to see your last ever Saints game. Please consortiums, prove me wrong.
-
Yes, hence they will not look forward to him scoring.
-
Hoddle left us and failed everywhere, his last album didn't even chart.

good quality of crowd today, slightly disappointing quantity. But there are obviously thousands who have returned knowing that their money is now going to the club and not into director's fees and dividends. Any boycott didn't put the club into administration, it just stopped Rupert having an extra holiday and a new car, and anyone who thinks that income hasn't been bypassing the team and pouring out of the other end of the club is kidding themselves for their own agenda. And good to see that no one bottled it after 70 minutes, though I did see one man who looked like he was popping out for the toilet so I abused him just in case he didn't return. You only had to look round the stadium today and you would have to be an idiot to think that it is a business with no future or potential, a great advert for any sensible consortium.

fair play to McGoldrick, he has taken some stick recently so tonight he should be allowed to go out and slap as many chavs as he fancies. Anyone else think their keeper should have done better with the goal? From the side it must have looked amazing but from the Northam I thought their keeper got across to it and just pushed it into the corner with a soppy wrist. And Palace are so much poorer than Charlton, truly gutless and if they had equalised it would have been more unfair than Everton/Boro/Villa combined. Disappointing attendance, though quality is better than quantity for armosphere. For me it was a six throat lozenge game. Barnsley are in freefall which is nice, and while we can all see Blackstock on the horizon, let's cheer ourselves by remembering that Forest are dreading McGoldrick....
-
and on the third day Saints rose again..... Hopefully. Save the club, hope the team joins in.
-
I would rather the team went down fighting in a red card kickfest than paraded around like sensitive nancy boys. And if Wotte cares enough to get into fisticuffs with their bench I will regard that as one of his most positive actions. If Palace want to be physical, let battle commence - unleash our poodles!
-
the team could all go dressed as professional footballers, the back four could wear defenders outfits like real teams have, and Wotte could pretend to make useful substitutions and effect the play on the park - it would be a hoot.
-
I have given up on this team ever repaying the loyalty of the fans, but we can still save the club, so let's pretend they aren't the worst team in history for ninety minutes. Come on you administrators, find us a nice owner so we can find some pride and points next season.
-
hopefully a few of them will be gaffer-taped to chairs in deserted dockside warehouses with people pouring petrol over their hooded faces, just as a reminder of their debt to the fans of this club, and how we hope they get three points on Monday. Though I believe that style of motivational management is frowned upon these days, it's gone all boiled chicken and pasta with Prozone for afters.
-
Yes I think we are experiencing history - surely this is the worst Saints team of all time? And as for choosing a player of the year, that's like asking people to nominate their favourite serial killer. Give the trophy to the groundsman, he painted some nice white lines.
-
If we don't beat Palace I reckon the game after that might be a must-win. And I am also starting to wonder whether or not the club has been managed efficiently in recent years. Wake up - It's not news or a surprise - we were poor this morning, we still are and we will be again on Monday, so let's just save the club and execute the team.

7000 Tickets left for Palace game (according to the ticket office)
rallyboy replied to Saintmike666's topic in The Saints
I think most of us have given up on entertainment and value for money, personally it is about putting money into the club to keep it afloat while a buyer is being found. The club has given me some great times over four decades and that is the loyalty I am trying to repay. I fully expect an appalling showing against Palace but I will still support the shirt and won't quit if we aren't playing like Brazil. I don't see that the worst Saints team of all time or crap results are a reason not to try and save the club, especially as of a fortnight ago the money is now going directly into the club coffers with no chance of it disappearing as director's fees. And if people really can't stomach more awful games then at least buy a ticket and stay at home. I can't believe we still have to emphasise this BUT the club will not make the Burnley game without further finance, and no, the fans shouldn't have to cover for the board's mismanagement but they have left us on the brink and we have to deal with it. The team may well fail us again, but off the pitch it is time to stand up and be counted. -
thanks for that clarification Mr Missile, looks like we are running out of legs to stand on. My main concern on the ten points was the loosely worded piece from the league threatening penalties to clubs reducing debt through admin. Any new owners will be telling Norwich Union where to stick their huge expectations and we will walk right into that category. I thought we were going to get dodgy justice from badly written rules but it looks like they may well have us banged to rights. (which we all knew!) So bearing in mind that we are on the verge of folding and just may be able to resurface in Lg One with minus ten pts in August, is anyone still banging on about whether we are playing 4-4-2 and all the other irrelevant on the field matters?! The team is beyond help, let's save the club.
-
if they try and force through a dodgy case they risk serious legal action so the league will have to be 100% confident to proceed. And surely they have no power to do a forensic investigation into the SLH accounts? (Which as we all know is a completely different company to SFC...) Let's just get a new owner in quick and pretend nothing has happened.
