I suspect some Palestinians were happy to live alongside the state, they just didn't like it when their houses were bulldozed and their kids were killed by the state. But that seems a minor issue compared with how both sides have escalated it now. Support should be with the innocent civilians across the two areas.
-
If ever there was a subject with no black and white sides, this is it, sensible people probably won't give unconditional support to either side. Anyone who thinks either side is innocent hasn't been concentrating, all the facts are out, as well as a lot of propaganda. It looks from the outside like two terrorist groups committing atrocities, the Israeli army spends decades committing acts of war against a civilian population and a terrorist group responds by murdering innocent people. I see no answer to this one, which may well end with Israel trying to justify mass murder. As a country I think we need to stay the fuck out of this one, it's going to get very messy and there's going to be no winners.

Did we really need to give the ball back when they threw it out to make multiple tactical changes? I understand for injuries, but they used the break in play to change three players and formation. 15 secs later, the ball was in our net.

It was like a Claude Puel tribute act - without the attacking element.

That wasn't a bad performance, but it was probably the worst good one I've ever seen. Toothless.

A sensibly budgeted and professionally-organised HS2 would have been great for the North and Midlands. Neither of those things happened so it's now just a total clusterfuck and the only winners, as is often the case, are the Government-appointed contractors, their share holders and any MPs who secure casual consultancy roles with those companies. -

Sunak promised billions to buy votes yesterday in funding for potholes, bypasses and new things that already exist. If he meant any of it he could spend that money now on mental health services, prisons, school buildings, policing, hospitals, green energy, the home office, doctors etc. Improving all those areas would win him the election, and rightly so. But he won't, because he will never spend that money, it was just more fibs for the faithful and the easily-led. -

HS2 looks like a badly botched project from day one, all big talk over the despatch box and no actual prep. Casually budgeted by an idiot, followed by big overspend in Tory constituencies that led to favoured companies making hundreds of millions, which was a manifesto promise sold as a key pillar of levelling up - to cancel it now after vandalising the countryside and spending most of the initial budget is surrendering any tight seats in the north, and potentially some safe ones. Add in Sunak's huge unfunded list of promises, his support for a racist mayoral candidate, madly pledging a train every three minutes to Sheffield, billions for everyone, Mordaunt's insane rambling plus Suella's invasion of Poland and they couldn't have got this week much more wrong. Their current media strategy is so ill-judged it's alienating vast swathes of voters, they look totally fucking clueless. And as an inspired finale Rishi shouted, We need change! Oh. -
Onside is the only verdict they needed to give in this latest case. One word, repeated with clarity. We clearly have the wrong people operating a system that has been complicated by committee. People say it doesn't matter, but there's big money at stake and that mistake could make the difference between Liverpool finishing 8th or 9th.

Which is odd because they knew how to seriously party a couple of years ago, when Matt Hancock Limited was selling overpriced bodybags and shovels to care homes. It's all gone a bit cartoon Nazi - invent arguments and enemies, meat taxes, benefit cheats, illegals, the return of Truss, seven bins, gay people coming over here and taking our hotel rooms, an imaginary war on motorists, fuck the climate, the boats, the boats! - chuck in a racist Mayoral candidate and let's see just how thick the voters are when confused by nonsense... And if he cuts off HS2 at Birmingham, levelling up is dead. -

They've gone full loopy today. We had the meat tax that didn't exist, now they're fighting an imaginary campaign against councils telling you when you can shop... Chuck in the fresh attacks on gays and those lazy disabled, the reglorification of Truss, Hunt being financially illiterate, plus Farage being their new hero and you wonder what will become of any old school Tories who have not walked yet - and this conference of thinly-veiled fascism is being held in a building funded by the EU. Madchester. -
Nothing wrong with the atmosphere last weekend, at one point there were more people sat down in their six-yard box than there were in the Chapel.

I saw the original chat on Politics Live and it was a well-mannered and reasonable discussion where both parties found some middle ground. Then enter attention-seeking foghorn Fox, desperately spouting hatred for cash, because that's how the shallow twat earns a living since being exposed as rubbish at everything else, ably supported by an alleged sex offender. But it's not his fault, people need to understand that this is his job now, making up mad shit to hang advertising on. So treat him as the acting and music businesses did, don't take him seriously - he doesn't even believe it himself.

Unlucky? They were fucking dreadful, it reminded me of another side I'd seen recently, no plan B, delusions of being able to play out from the back, sloppy passing and lots of sideways with no end product, followed up by the manager saying he thought they'd played great. Clown. And Leeds should have had 3 or 4 more bookings. Either way, a great day.

Right, nearly time to paint on a smile, stick on my positive face, applaud when things go wrong and try not to be part of the problem. We all know it's been shit, but today we need to pretend to the players that we haven't noticed. #positivity COYR

any sort of organised attack would be progress, he's more likely to run up to her and then slide gently sideways or backwards.

Like most debates the immigration issue has many shades of grey, but some only see it, or choose to view it as black and white. -

Someone seems to be confusing people-trafficking criminal gangs with asylum seekers. Easy mistake to make... -

As more detail emerges the Johnson cabinet is being exposed for what they were, and some still are. History will not judge them well. And if that involves a former SAS man chucking one of the corrupt cunts out of a helicopter into a lake, we just have to reluctantly accept that. -
All the parents are entitled to justice, so any further trials that have a good chance of conviction should go ahead.

All the catering staff at the Leeds hotel need to suspend washing their hands from Wednesday morning, then we need to invite their players to a meal on Friday night and get them all totally shitfaced. Perhaps free up Edozie from defensive duties too and let him run more without waiting for everyone else.
-
Sheffield United fans should offer a full apology to their players.

It's not fun anymore. Make it stop.

Yeah, Packham's a big softie, fancy taking offence at death threats and petrol bomb attacks on your house while wanting to save the planet and keep shit out of our rivers, the Saints and punk rock-liking weirdo. Attenborough too, always banging on about animals mating and the fucking ice cap, the old perv.

If he's that pissed off perhaps he should have a word with the manager - that's the guy who spends all week with them and sends them out to do that.
