As people have previously mentioned, in the Itchen, the action by the steward was uncalled for. Everyone was enjoying the game and had sat down, then when it looked like we might be coming back into it for a min we stood up and one steward waded in. It was only at that point that things turned nasty. Yes, they have a job too do and I would not obstruct that. However, the steward attempting to yank the guy over the seats was unreasonable force and affected not only that fan but others around him- including small children.
Afterwards, it turned out ( from speaking to a regular steward) that the other one was not part of their regular team. Thankfully.
I can't comment on the problems that happened elsewhere in the stands.
