Different ball game in the lower leagues. Success depends more on available wage bugets projected from season ticket sales and estimated gates. Not so much on transfer budgets to buy players (as we wont attract players worth any money in the lower leagues anyway). Smart freebies and smart loans needed .... so we will need a smart lower league manager who knows where to shop. I think it's going to be a reality check for most saints fans, and maybe humbeling. Time to give all teams no matter who we play some respect, irrespective of size. And some saints fans need to get into the habit of saying "beaten by the better side" and not "wtf ... blah blah blah ... we are massive" ******s. Remember it wasn't that long ago Notts County were in the top flight. Proper football fans are grateful to have a club to support.

I too applaud any efforts made. Good on you for trying. Will empty my pockets when i see the bucket! Was reminded again about a club a work colleague supports from the "If Saints disappeared....." thread. He's a Brentford supporter (still hasn't forgotten the fa cup ticket thing!). But if a small club like Brentford can conquer £8 million pounds worth of debt, then why can't we learn from them and ask what they done? It's a supporters run club now, looking to finance a new stadium. Bees United i think they're called. We can only learn and try to save this great club

This appointment is a money saving exercise isn't it? Don't have to pay compensation as we haven't sacked JP ... Lowe has saved a bit of dosh ... Speed in which this decision has been made really worries me. Smells of "no money .... so why go shopping". Appoinment process hasn't even been considered.

I was talking to a brentford supporter at work yesterday. They've had problems in the past with dodge chairmen. They set up something called bias to help them remove ex saint david webb when he owned them ( http://www.bias.org.uk/about.php ). They also got rid of ron noades too! And yeovil supporters also had success in removing a chairman (called david webb!). Could we learn anything from them? What did they do and how?
