To be honest, I don't think it really matters too much what shirt we wear, more the performances of the people that wear it on the pitch. As long as it has red and white somwhere, I will buy it as it is not only a commemorative shirt, but a sign that we as a football club are heading in a positive direction for a change.

Do you mean this one? If you do then her name's Shauna and she has a partner called Stewart Othen according to the OS. -
I think by 20k linked sales he means the 33k capcity, minus the 4k Pompey and 10k Season Ticket Holders ... leaves 20k of tickets that will be linked? I may have read that wrong though. Even so, £50 x 20,000 = £1mil and on top of that we have the £20 x 10,000 season ticket holders = 0.2mil (rough average) making 1.2mil overall. As I said though this is all rough estimates and doesn't include TV money either

I completely agree with the majority of the sentiments above, he acts like the puppet master on the pitch ... there's not a single attcking play that does not involve Hammond in one way or another, even if it is only a one touch pass. The role he plays is often one that can easily go unnoticed but he really does cnage games for us.

Here's a VERY rough attempt at what I would like to see, something similar to the 1980 kit.

I'm definitely up for this if needed? I can play RM, RB and CB/ I'm young (18), tall (6ft) and have a good header but haven't played in a while...

Agreed, saw him in an interview with Sky Sports about Reading's new manager and he mispronounced someone's name. Just sounded like an ol' drunk
-
I like the look of this one, but swapping Puncheon and Lallana over and possibly bringing in Murty for Otsemobor.
-
It's probably the only way they can get rid of their players tbh
-
Not sure if someone lese has mentioned this already but have you all seen the latest Pompey website? www.portsmouthfc.co.uk

I find if you add three extra milks and two sachets of sugar, the coffee becomes vaguely drinkable

Worth a shout, I remember the buzz about him before he moves and whilst he certainly hasn't reached his potential at either Spurs or Brentford, Pardew is known for getting the best out of young players.
-
Or maybe the opposition's players value the league more as it is the only thing they have left to fight for whereas we have the added distractions of the JPT and the FA Cup? Oh and I agree with this ...
-
This makes for very interesting reading, cheers for making the effort to put the table together. I do however feel we should be playing at a better points average than Colchester, Swindon and Millwall but we have not by any means been playing badly. I'm looking forward to what must be an easy win on Saturday followed by the possiblilty of a cup final place secured next week. Will be interesting to see how the moods of people on here change after a few wins
-
He is currently top scorer in the JPT IIRC?
-
(One for the anoraks by the way) After saving yet another penalty against Brentford, it got me wondering... how many penalty saves has Davis made for Saints and what is his miss/save ratio when it comes to penalties?
-
I definitely feel this is a game we can win comfortably if we play to our best but I'm worried that the distractions of the JPT and the Skates will be playing on their minds a bit. ------------ Davis Thomas - Fonte - Jaidi - Harding ------ James ---- Wotton Lallana ----- Morgan ---- Holmes ----------- Lambert Bench: Bart, Semi, Perry, Mills, Antonio, and two of Barnard/Connolly/Papa

Or sit with people who don't ball watch. That way you get to keep your eye on all of the 'real' action whilst still getting updates about a player's 'off-the-ball run' or 'good positioning' etc.
-
So the ban was recinded because we stated that the a 3 game ban for a red card is too long? Or am I reading that wrong?
-
Get Dyer back for one game so we can see the windmill celebration again, maybe also Matt Oakley, James Beattie and Marian Pahars (+ a new set of legs) ... Oh and Drew Surman, he always seemed like a real fan of the club.
-
I agree mostly with the above, made a few changes to the MK Dons team though ... this is professional sportsmen we are talking about, they can handle both games (especially Davis). I also think it is absolutely necessary to play 4-5-1 against Portsmouth if we want to be in with a shout.
-
Oh b*llocks, just checked my ticket. I was looking at the original fixture list and forgot the match was brought forward a week. Does pose an interesting question though, which match takes priority? Ticket to Wembley or getting one over the skates? A poll maybe?
-
4 days after isn't it? We can put out a full strength team against Portsmouth and assess the situation afterwards, anyone who has the fitness can play. Seeemples

Who can doubt the magic of the cup? Come on yooouuuu reeeeds!

I am yet to see Wotton play more than 10 minutes without tackling rashly with two feet 'studs up'. Almost to the point where the group I sit with play the "Guess how long til Wotton gets booked" game whenever he comes on. Plus he must have the lowest pass completion percentage of the team and he always slows down attacking moves. However, as much as I personally dislike him as a player, no one can argue that he does a good job at providing some much needed defensive support when we are protecting a one goal lead (sometimes not successfully). IMHO, another defensive addition in the Summer to replace the aging Perry and Jaidi and we will not need such a defensive midfielder.
