  1. I'm still annoyed that Romain Gasmi failed to score for the first team ... I could picture the OS's title now orGASMIc
  2. I didn't find the repetition of the tannoy announcement inciting as I have a mental age greater than 6. I did however feel the announcement totally detracted from the game and ruined the atmosphere. Therefore, I booed the tannoy and called the pitch invaders "w@nkers".
  3. Ended the game as the match's dirtiest player with 3 fouls, missed three chances and didn't really do much else. Don't agree with anyone giving him grief though, he was very sad to leave this club IIRC.
  4. Ignoring this ridiculous thread, I thought I would start a positive and more factful thread on the best player on the pitch today. It really showed how much the club means to him when he scored his 20th goal of the season. I don't know if anyone else noticed but Lallana wanted to take the penalty but Rickie wasn't having any of it and the upset showed as Lallana trudged back to our half slowly as the rest of team celebrated. No one deserves the record of 20 goals from midfield more than Lallana. He has consistently been the player putting the most effort into the games for Saints throughout the season and I genuinely see a bright future for him at St. Mary's. COYR!

I used your analogy but made it a bit fairer on Pards.
  6. Not quite, Rupert decided not to appeal the rejection of his visa IIRC.
  7. £21.00 I put £2 on Saints to win from behind and £1 on Saints to win 3-1. 3-1 has won be quite a bit of money this season haha
  8. As it says, ignoring the almighty Sir Rickie, who would be your runner up to the Player of the Season award? Poll possibly mods?
  9. 1) Lambert 2) Harding 3) Lallana Although my text vote was for Paul 'Sideways Pass' Wotton
  10. Like most others, I've always kept an eye out for their results in the same manner in which I do Eastleigh's ... definitely don't see them as rivals. I will enjoy the match though, I remember a testimonial at Dean Court about 10 or so years ago (?) I remember Hassasn Kachoul inviting my family onto the Saints team bus after the game so we could meet the players, brilliant night.
  11. Southampton to win 2-1 after coming back from a goal down. I'd much rather have Gillett or even a semi-fit Lloyd James play instead of Wotton but I'd be surprised if Pardew didn't start with him. COYR!
  12. I am not totally against us playing 4-3-3 with Rickie, Barnard and Connolly up front supported by a midfield of Lallana, Hammond and Puncheon. Althought, that team would probably get ripped to shreds on the counter attack but would score a f*ck load of goals.
  13. This table shows the last 6 games but even if you extend it to 8 we are still top of the form table for not only league one but of the WHOLE of the football league!
  14. Mine is the same but from the other side... Here's a link to the full size version if anyone fancies it
  15. We go a man down, he throws on a striker for a defender and that super substitute crosses for Barnard (also a sub) to nod in at the back post. Great tactics from a great manager that receives far too much stick from some of the idiots on here. Regardless of whether he gets us promoted this season, I have faith that he has what it takes to not only take us to the Championship next year but also win the league. COYR!
  16. I love football. I love saints. I love barnard.
  17. For the record, I've just checked and in 21 career appearances for Saints and Grimsby, Oliver Lancashire has been sent off 4 times and scored 2 own goals.
  18. Jermaine 'Sh!te' Wright Jason 'Donkey' Euell Oliver Lancashire (for his 100 career sending off's and 10 own goals) Paul 'HOOF 'N' HACK' Wotton Nigel Quashie - 'nuff said.
  19. Spiderman and not purely for his goal. Him and Hammond completely bossed the midfield.
  20. Hopefully he scores a few more than Benali ...
  21. Best football related night of 2010 so far for Southampton?
  22. YEEEEESSSSSSSS!! The play-offs are so finely hung in the balance, if it remains this tense for the rest of the season, I might just burst a blood vessel!
  23. Come on walsall!
  24. La laa la laa la laa la laa la laaa la laaa (x4) RICKIE LAMBERT, SOUTHAMPTON'S GOAL MACHINE!
  25. The only team that could make a massive difference would be Swindon going bust, seeing as they have already done the double on us and the occupy one of the play off spots. P PTS 4th Charlton 39 72 5th Huddersfield 39 67 6th Colchester 39 67 7th Southampton 38 60 8th Bristol Rovers 39 55 Which would leave us 7 points off with a game still in hand! However there is absolutely no chance of this happening unfortunately
