What annoyed me tonight was the amount of misplaced passes, not just from Surman (although he was one of the worst offenders) but from both teams as a whole. That and the inconsistent refereeing decisions! But I guess that that's just Championship football for you ... Gillet was amazing, all over the park. Very tenacious. Terrier-like performance. And all those other clichés about central midfielders. In him I see a quality player for the future. Size was excellent, not only did he defend well (apart from goal) but he suprisingly looked dangerous when going forward. He ran at Derby rather than punting it forward and had some beautiful chipped balls over their midfield. Perry - a rock at the back. Great defensive headers and took his goal well.

I was already applauding what I thought was an amazing individual effort! The shot itself was worthy of a goal And I completely agree about Surman's chance but what annoyed me tonight was the amount of misplaced passes, not just from Surman (although he was one of the worst offenders) but from both teams as a whole. That and the inconsistent refereeing decisions! :smt017 But I guess that that's just Championship football for you.

You don't understand how irritated I am! -
I've always wondered ... where/how do you get the match pictures before the OS?

Saejis reminds me of Lundekvam. Gets stuck in, clears any danger and doesn't p**s about with the ball. Just sticks to the simple game. Similar build/looks aswell ... kind of

Peace breaks out between Saints & Pompey !

"It was nice to see guys, and a girl from Southampton" Maybe they fielded a team of 11 Pompey players against our lone lady? Not surprised that she still managed to get a goal to be honest -
Haha. I suppose. I just wish we could have one thread on this forum where we all agreed on something and resisted the urge to argue amongst ourselves. Anyway that's my 3 posts for the day until I can get my full membership sorted out.

But what annoys me is the constant need to accuse anyone who dares to think anything other than the general consensus of the fans of being a "Lowe-Luvvie". How dare people have different opinions or play devil's advocate? Using your analogy, we are accusing fellow soldiers of being Nazi's just because they are questioning our reasoning or trying to see things from the the German soldier's P.O.V. I also think it takes thing a BIT far to compare Lowe to Hitler ... And no before you ask I am NOT a Lowe-Luvvie.
-
No offence guys but shut the f**k up please? The constant bickering amongst fans accusing eachother of being pro-lowe is getting pathetic now. How about we try uniting as a fanbase and try using the one thing we agree on (our love for the club) to get behind the team?

So if we win our "game-in-hand" 4-0 and Watford lose both of theirs 3-0 ... Wishful thinking I know

Aswell as trying Surman as a midfielder and actually letting Skacel play. If only they had employed the forum The thousands of owners of Ebbsfleet consistently let the manager choose the side, would be interesting to see how often we would let Wotte pick the team should we be in charge Anyway, COYR!!

Phil Neville - I swear that the majority of his goals for United came against Saints, all hit from about 30 yards aswell! Reminds me of a conversation about players that always score against us ...

Even with our impending point deduction for going into administration?

Just to be Controversial regarding Transfers out
SamKimish replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
I think it would be hard to find such loyality in the world of football let alone at the club. There is a lot of money floating around these days (Wow, I feel old) and the difference between two club's wage bill can be monstrous. A move to a bigger club can give a player some much needed financial security and Southampton FC are unfortunately not a club that can guarentee such a thing. I'm not saying there aren't any loyal players ... I just think they are fewer and further between.
