It's not just about League position though is it? I should think both West Ham and Cardiff fans are feeling quite happy tonight.

Am I right in thinking that the club have moved the Family Stand from the Chapel to the Kingsland/Chapel corner? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/staticFiles/cf/75/0,,10280~161231,00.pdf If they have, a lot of people will have to move to get lower prices rather than those in the Goals price bracket.

Well if you look at his Ugly posts it's clear that Stu thinks the owners of this site have done a deal with Nicola to get the fixture list and the OS photos, so if I was Baj and Steve I would be very wary of him.

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
lenwilkins replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
If the club had good reason not to sell Nick Illingsworth a Season Ticket don't you think they would have jumped at the chance to explain their position? I do. The very fact that he is allowed to buy tickets on a match by match basis but not a Season Ticket speaks volumes to me. Had he done anything wrong he would have been banned from the ground completely. This smacks of pettiness and spite. If I was the club's new Marketing Manager I would be pulling my hair out at the thought of the way this little episode is tarnishing the image of the club as in any way fan friendly. I totally agree with Patred and Um Pahar's posts above. Cortese has done great things for our club but in this instance he has got it badly wrong and it does not bode well for his attitude and treatment of individual fans imho. -
This is the report from the IFO on the club's refusal to sell Nick Illingsworth a Season Ticket http://www.theifo.co.uk/adjudications.html http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/fb_mb.php?m=v&t=17766#0 "The IFO upholds the complaint that this long-standing and loyal supporter has been treated unfairly. The Club, having made its powers and authority clear, should now end the restriction and reinstate the complainant as a season ticket holder, preferably forthwith, but in any case no later than the beginning of the next season." It certainly doesn't reflect well on the club. The press are going to have a field day.

Cortese should price match tickets to get the biggest income for the club in order to buy players for our Championship season. I'm sure the armchair fans who come once a year wouldn't begrudge £40 to see the wonderful Man U in action.

Saints 2 - 0 Blackpool - Post match reaction
lenwilkins replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
Thanks Chez & Nick. It sounds like we played with a lot more flexibility than normal which usually just amounts to the occasional switch between Lallana and OC - very encouraging. -
Saints 2 - 0 Blackpool - Post match reaction

What was the formation then - didn't Puncheon and Lallana play on the wings? -
I'd feel happier with 4" - did I misread that???
-
FFS - do you have a date for the end of the world alpine? I'd like to make sure I have a final **** before it occurs
-
Yes just have to fkucing fiddle don't they.
-
Thanks for that Duncan. It's good to know that there are more Hagiology imprints on the way.
-
So when can we expect the new revised ITN Duncan? Do we need to start saving yet? Supplementary question: Will we every see the prequel to cover the pre war years? Straight answers please - none of your authorial / publisher gobbledygook.
-
No, I mean ideally he would go and live in Dell Days attic as they are so fond of each other but otherwise like an incontinent elderly relative shouldn't each site have him for perhaps a fortnight at a time?
-
* Mods - can you let this run for a couple of days in the interests of humanity please? Don't you think the gentle folks on The Ugly Inside have suffered enough. Please place your votes for the reinstatement of Special Needs Stu below:

It's good to see Dean, oops sorry I mean leftback, back again.
-
Apparently Cortese forced the Saints Trust to remove the club logo from their website. He banned the Echo from SMS I don't doubt he would (and probably has) done the same to this site.
-
I agree - banning such an informative poster just further undermines the value of this forum. I can't imagine why anyone pays to post here anymore. As far as I can see all of his old posts are still up. Some airy-fairy comment about libel doesn't ring true to me. Surely if he made a post that Baj or Steve didn't like this evening it could have been deleted and a gentle warning issued. It looks like a sledgehammer has been used to crack a nut.
-
Nor me but he has. Look at his profile. If I were you lefty I'd sign up on The Ugly Inside. Most of us read it: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/fb_mb.php
-
So why has leftback been banned. Are Messrs Grant and Bajo kowtowing to the club?
-
You should try Nick Illingsworth's forum LB. A lot more respectful of ex-players: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/fb_mb.php

A pleasure - it would have been a shame to waste the ticket. The Mrs was sorry to have missed it but never mind!
-
I have a spare adult ticket for tonight . It's in Kingsland Centre Block 29 Row G. I'll be by the Ted Bates statue at 7 pm if anyone wants it at face value - £7.50. First come, first served (I can't send receive PM's as I'm a registered user.)
-
Seems like a load of fuss over nothing to me - the Ugly operates very successfully with next to no moderation.
-
We surely are and it was a great game to watch - did you go Tris or is the boycott still in place?
