I can understand people criticising Hammond for the simple fact that he can't pass, but Schneiderlin? Along with Lallana, he is one of the most technically gifted players in our squad.

I doubt he's got the connections to be a DoF for us, but he's still a great coach and work well with one of the youth sides.

Having watched Chris Lines a few times, The Gas would be getting a much better deal with money and a much better player. If we do end up losing Holmes, then we've lost the only wide player we've got who can actually cross a ball. Mind you, with Antonio and Papa last season we managed quite well with wide players whose crossing ability was sporadic at best.

I remember MLT as a great player and loyal servant, but I also remember him titting about with a waste of time consortium as we slid further and further towards a winding up order, childishly wasting time as it became more and more apparent there was no money backing their bid. It's brave thing Cortese is doing by criticising MLT and Lawrie Mac, but I'm guessing he takes the view that he's running the SFC of now and certain comments and the support they gain from the SFC of old don't help.

There were people behind me (block 120) who cheered when Liebherr came on the screen and then booed when Cortese came on. It's a shame they don't realise that without Cortese, we wouldn't have Liebherr.

I agree, but it was Hammond who went missing against Swindon leaving him to do the work of two (three if you include Puncheon). Swindon also knew how to defend against us - with Barnard and Lambert up from, they defended with a highish line because they know we're lacking pace down the middle and pack the midfield to stop the ball going wide. That's how teams beat us when we haven't got pace up front
