You appear to be missing two things: medication and a nurse

I wasn't there but it was clear from watching on tv that the runs Guly was making were making space for others by pulling people out of position. By the time Lambert came on, the defence had been given the runaround and were tired thanks to the work of Jrod, Puncheon & Guly. I'm not a fan of Gary Neville but if an ex-England international defender who has got a shed load of medals and is also at the game takes the time to point out the intelligence of Guly's running, then I'm more inclined to take his word for it.

Jason Puncheon "does not cut the mustard" for me

If Adkins thinks he's good enough for the team, then I'll trust his judgement. If someone on here is confident they could have won us back to back promotions and has the record to back it up, then maybe I'll change my mind. -

Bearing in mind that Ali Dia scored 2 goals in 8 games for Gateshead and Tommy Forecast was dropped by Bromley - who would you rather have in your squad? You are allowed to put Ali Dia in goal if you want to give it a go

They have. His name is Tom Kinsley, he's seven years old and plays for Ventor Primary. He won a competition at school to be one of Pompey's trialists and go on tour with them to Spain. Michael Appleton said: "He's a great prospect for the future but because of the situation we're in, we might have to throw him straight into the first team. I'm sure he can handle the rigours of the modern game, he's young, keen and as long as he's not gone past his bedtime, full of energy. We just need to move on some of the more experienced players so that we can afford his pocket mon...er, wages"

but he was droppedc by Cheltenham last season because they didn't think he was good enough

Although numerous media outlets will use the same limited sources -
puncheon up to his old tricks again?

I heard he's going for the next series of Strictly. He wants to be football's answer to Gavin Henson. -
I think he would be a suck it and see signing. Good to have a player of his experience in the dressing room and seems like he's someone who gets his head down and gets on with it so good for the spirit. I think he'd fit it but his fitness is the sticking point.

yep, because 40 games in the championship gets you to the Euros?

Anders Svensson (the one that knocked those pesky Argies out)

sadly, the managers we had didn't know how to use him effectively. -
How many youth players will break into the side next season?
saintedwill replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Just to be clear on this - players under-21 are available to play even if they're not named in the 25 man squad? -
Morgan is by far our most technically gifted player. If he has the right players playing with him (Cork, Lee, Lambert & Lallana fit in that bracket), then we'll do well. We probably need a more experienced Premiership midfielder to play in there as well to allow Morgan to play and dictate the pace of the game.

S Fltecher - not a bad shout. Scored more headed goals than any other Premiership player this season. I'll mention it one last time. If we're looking for a GK - MacGregor? Mulgrew would be a great addition as well. Any sense in looking at Danny Wilson as well? -

Stephen Irelan is a really good shout - he's one of the many players at Villa who isn't playing to his full potential for some reason. If we can help him recapture his City form (and NA is the man to do that), then he will be a very good buy. Wouldn't waste breath on Joey Barton. Average midfielder who splits the dressing room. -

If we're looking for another 'keeper, I reckon MacGregor at Rangers would be worth a shout -
I'd try and get Corluka from Spurs, MacGregor from Rangers and Matt Phillips would be on my list. I thought about Hargreaves (seeing that Man City wanted him when he seemed washed up) but I'm not sure.

What about Danny Wilson?

Just wanted to say thank you for all the messages and support, you won't believe how much they've helped us through this tough time. The funeral's tomorrow and then we'll be taking Dad to St. Mary's for one last visit. If we happen to get a lucky goal on Saturday or a dead cert goal for Middlesborough inexplicably hits the post, you'll know who to thank.

Just wanted to let you all know that my dad passed away last night after suffering for a year and 3 months with lung cancer. He supported Saints for 75 years since he was 4 years old and since Markus Liebherr took over the club, he had really high hopes for what we could achieve under the new ownership and Nigel Adkins. It's just a shame he won't be able to see us beat Pompey on Saturday and also play in the Premier League again (in his words, "where we belong"). During his life he had a few meetings with Saints players and I'll always remember him telling me about when it was his job to host a Saints side touring Japan in the 60s which included the likes of Bobby Stokes, Terry Paine & Mike Channon. He always told me how impressed he was about how well our boys could put the drinks away! As dad was coming towards the end of his life and he realised he wouldn't see St. Mary's again, he asked us if it would be possible to be taken around the stadium for one last time before we take him back home to the Isle of Wight. I've been in touch with the club and they have very kindly agreed to lift the barriers so that he can make one last visit to the ground. If anyone would like to be there when we give him his final send off from Southampton, then we are planning to be at St. Mary's between 1-1.30pm on Friday April 20th. COYR

because he got booked for a tackle that was no way a foul and then booked again for something which was barely a foul, let alone a yellow card?
