Graham Potter was much worse and a certain saint with a curry house must be the worst left back in pl history
-
Just has that air about him that says to the defence "don't worry if the ball goes past you because I've got it covered but if you mess up, I'm going to go ******* mental at you" which I like in a gk!
-
This. Bags of potential and it looks like he's started to become accustomed to the quality of the PL and I'm sure under MP and with RL by his side, he'll prove his initial doubters wrong. Will have to watch out for the threat of Guly though.

I know our midfield was fantastic yesterday but was anyone else surprised about how off the pace Gerrard looked?

He should be in jail, he should be jail. Harry Redknapp, he should be in jail" "he's got the richest dog in the world, he's got the richest dog in the world" etc

Marking each post generally leaves an attacker spare for a free header IMHO -

The January 2013 HCDAJFU thread...

If people on here are talking about a new winger, what about free agent Ricardo Quaresma? -
If Beattie is going to be mentioned, can I mention a certain Mr Shearer?
-
Did I see them both in West Quay with bags of Xmas shopping that they were taking back when they realised they had to pay for parking there as well and their loyal patronage of the pound shop didn't mean they got it for free?

I think we've all seen how the American keeper gets to play in Escape To Victory. If some tells KD that the rooming arrangements have changed and he'll be in a bunk bed, I think he should be worried.
-
1) our defence but glad we've got a decent keeper in 2) the section of our fans who arrogantly thought (and they should have taken note of Norwich and Blackpool fans attitudes to being promoted) that because we were in the top division a decade ago, we had some sort of divine right to be in the pl and who are now screaming blue murder because we're not doing that well.
-
Here's an idea which could solve things... If a certain section of our fans actually stopped whinging and manned up a bit then this complete non-story would be exactly that. So he threw a plastic water bottle gently towards the crowd. There are conflicting reports as to whether it hit someone or not - so what if it did? Sometimes I wonder if the increased amount of diving/excessive reactions to physicality/rolling around for nothing has crept over the advertising hoardings and into the crowd and we now have stands full of Suarez, Bale and Klinsman wannabes in attitude alone

To be honest, I couldn't care less if I bought my programme from someone in a flat cap, a suit and scarf or a specially trained chimp. "Our new sellers not only look the part, but they’re easy to find too with their smart corporate look of dark suits and scarf, making them easy to spot amongst this weekend's sell out crowd" This is the word which I think doesn't go down well with Saints fans (like me) who remember us being a family club. Then again, am I being to nostalgic and should I get real about the modern professional game?

1) Redknapp is a terrible manager unless he is given a shed load of cash to spend 2) If Curbishley is such a good manager, why hasn't he had a job for a number of years despite applying for them? Your case for getting rid of Adkins may be valid (although I don't agree) but your choice of replacements is about ten years past its sell by date.

The most incredible game I've ever seen ...

I saw Celtic beat Aberdeen 9-0 a few years back. It was incredible. Jos Hooiveld came on at half time. He was great. -
Good point. Drop him

In all fairness, we haven't lost Ramirez and Phillips to others and Buttner's agent made our interest public in order to secure him a move to Man Utd who he knew were interested. I think there's more hope for the other two because we seem to be doing a lot more chasing.
