I think his wife would have been more than happy if he'd come to Saints because they live just outside of Bath in Wiltshire and she'd see more of him. Is there a parallel with his lack of ambition and MLT's? He could have moved from a small club to one with great tradition, ambition, facilities and potential. MLT could have gone from a small club to Man U with all of the above. We're lucky that they both have some sense. Paul Tisdale is a very good manager, but the job at Saints needs to be done with someone of AP's experience.

So let me get this right... AP signs a player on day 3 of his 5 days in charge, he hasn't got an assistant or full coaching staff and there's already grief because we're not signing players left, right and centre. Someone definitely needs a reality check somewhere along the line.

OR If I had the cash of a cuckoo And saw that arse called Rupert Lowe I'd fly over his house tomorrow And **** on the bastard below You know the rest...

I'd rather see Perry instead of Thomas. Thomas and Size are too similar in style, whilst Size attacks and Perry sweeps up. Kind of like how Claus and Killer worked but not as good. I'd also want to see James in midfield just for his crossing alone.

Michael Ball's available on a free if we're looking for a LB

Just a few thoughts: Keegan - only ever does well when he's allowed to pay well over the odds on mainly average players. Walks when put under pressure and tactically is at about the level of League One. A spent force in management? Strachan - Would he come back? Curbishley - Spent many years at Charlton to build what was basically an average team that Strachan managed to do with us in about a season. People bang on about him, but for the time he was at Charlton, how good is his record? Pearson - saved us from relegation, but has started the job at Leicester that he wasn't allowed to here. Would he leave to start something new or finish what he started? So there are a few negatives. My personal choice would be to team a promising young manager like Tisdale with someone like Coppell as DoF. I'll be back later with more negatives for them

I'd rather we had a million quids worth of coke

Maybe the best way to deal with it is to sort out our club and make his cash available!

Just voted - KD on 43%, 11% ahead of Jensen in 2nd. Come on Super Kelv!

I was worried about how shaky he looked at the start of the season, but I put part of that down to the fact hat we never had a settled team and that's always difficult when you're learning a new position. As the season's progressed, he's quite well and I think that he could make the transition with another season. I'd still prefer to see him in midfield though because his crossing ability is superb

In all this talk of Tommy Widdrington as our potential new manager, why not Nick Holmes? After all, he is the man who's taken Salisbury through the leagues as their manager with Widdrington as coach and kept them in the BSP this season despite having to loan out all their best players to save on wages (sound familiar). If you're talking about passion for Saints, knowledge of the lower leagues and success, then why not Holmes as manager with TW/Tisdale as his assistant?

Saints to form an "alliance" with Hungarian League 1 outfit?

4 of the most promising youngsters will be on the bench for the Norwich game (as long as they pay their subs) -
waiting for (le) god the sh*t as empire and for a film... wotteship down? (sorry, I've got a raging hangover and am in a bad mood - just read Nathan's prematch interview though. that cheered me up) COYR!!!

with the amount of managers he's got through, it would be difficult not to! I reckon he's going from EU country to EU country like some sort of bizarre homage to Hitler
-
so would I. He'd probably do a great job coaching the academy.
-
But then King Kev's only done well when he's had loads of money to spend. He won't get that with us. Dowie might be the best option when you see what he did with Palace in a similar position.

It is really when you think about it. Making a mistake can be seen as stupid, but watching someone make a mistake and then repeating it is top level idiocy. If you saw someone scold their arm, would you empty the contents of a boiling kettle on yours?

The one thing that Saga has got that McG hasn't is at least a defence feel like they've been worked at the end of a game. He will run a line ragged and at least tire a defence out so fresher players can come on late in the game and pose a threat that masks their ability. I put in more effort walking to the loo at half time than McGoldrick does in 90 mins.
