If we are just negotiating compensation for a breach of contract, then surely that would be handled by our lawyers. Les Reed's job is to recruit players, not resolve legal disputes over players that are going to other clubs. So, I'd take the article as just another speculative pile of crap. (Disclaimer: I've not read the article; I'm just going on your summary of it).

I don't claim to be itk. I just feed bits of information that I do know or have heard from what I believe to be reliable sources. If that causes you amusement and brings joy to your life, well that's all the better.

Do you have an obsession with me?

He hasn't failed the medical. Will be announced tomorrow.
-
Clyne has signed for Liverpool.
-
He won't. He wants fame and money and doesn't think he gets either at Saints.
-
Breaking news on Skysports....charged with breaking Football Agents' Regulations over Calum Chambers' signing last summer. More info to follow apparently. The only surprising thing about this is that Utd and Liverpool haven't also been charged for the Luke Shaw and Lallana/Lovren signings. This stuff goes on all the time; Arsenal mustn't have covered their tracks very well.

Thought I'd better face up to it and post on here today. Stand by what i said (was told); so I guess he just changed his mind. Not the first or last time a human will do that... But hypo can have his or her day. :-)

Glad he's got a decent club like that. He'll do well there. Can see them challenging for promotion to the prem again in 3/4 years with Nige at the helm.
-
The things I've seen Clyne say (privately) over the past week makes me glad he's leaving. Good riddance. Billy big boots, mercenary footballer. No loyalty or allegiance to the club.
-
Not heard anything more about Ings since I was told what I was told a few months back. The Clyne comment is from Clyne himself.
-
Clyne's leaving.
-
What are the chances they kick off the evening by announcing that Clyne has signed a new 4 year deal?!
-
Don't gloat too much; watch them try to replace him with Mane...
-
Yeah I thought so too. Couldn't help but think maybe we would only need one right back if Clyne left. (although if Toby didn't sign, then I'd still want two).
-
Interesting. I don't know who you are. However, you're partially right. I had a brief ITK period when a friend worked at the club who fed me bits and bobs. This Ings thing has come from a girl I 'know' from years ago who fairly recently had 'an encounter' with him where he told her that if she was going to fly over to see him, then she'd need to look up flights to Southampton from next season. So, not concrete, but why else would he say that?
-
I told you all in Jan that he was joining Saints in the summer. Nothing has changed. He will be joining Saints. Done deal.
-
I meant Clasie not Clarke.
-
As most are saying, it's unlikely that Clyne and Morgan will still be here next season. I think Alderweireld could go either way. For me, it's absolutely essential that we keep Wanyama. I'm not too bothered about losing Clyne and Morgan. Clarke and Vilhena will replace Morgan, and we obviously need two right backs to come in and I'm sure the club has their targets lined up. I think it's been pretty clear from the statements made recently that if we are in Europe next season, there's a plan to build out the squad to cope with that, so my hunch is that we'll see a net increase of 4 or 5 players. We'll quickly forget about those departing.

Good idea. Only issue I can see is if Andre Marriner was refereeing, then Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would end up taking all the penalties that Keiron Gibbs wins...
-
Not much wrong with that for me. Dumb questions got answered with the contempt they deserved.
-
Just don't think he's played very well for a while. His head is elsewhere. Liverpool I'd expect...
