  1. You played to our weaknesses, which was 100% the right tactic. You looked hungry, didn't give us space, got your first goal when Hahnemann dallied and didn't go for the cross, the second was a fantastic shot under pressure. We wasted some very early chances and never really got going. We weren't given the space to play the penetrative football we've played this season, and even though we had an off day, credit has to be given to you. I think with more performances like that, you'll soar up the table.
  2. Edit: And credit to your support on Saturday, you were well up for it.
  3. 23,100 seats from 24,200 sold, including about 300 empty in your end and with segregation? Yeah, very poor... Last time we went to your place there were just over 24,000 there, with 8,000 empty seats. Half your forum has spent the last few days claiming not to give a **** about us... Hardly a convincing argument you're putting across there, when you're getting crowds around the 15,000 mark at the moment. And yeah, our fans were shockingly bad on Saturday, but that's what you get when you're a 'two-bob plastic club', eh?
  4. Here's one of your fans. Nice and large so you can see if you can see yourselves.
  5. And on Guess the age today, I'm going to go for 14... Any more sensible and reasonable Saints fans want to comment on what I feel are reasoned points?
  6. Probably, to be fair. We have a lot of younger fans, and we've been at the Madejski for 10 years - they would have only been little children when we moved. We've also got a lot of new fans as well... I spoke to a saints fan in his early twenties on the train back yesterday, and he told me he'd been going about 3 or 4 years - Would you be as disparaging about him? I'm 22 and I only went there about 7 times, been supporting my club for 11 years. Is that a bad thing? You can't grow without new fans - And IIRC, you built a stadium twice the size of your old one as well We're very much in the same boat I think! And we know a lot about you because Meridian rather liked you, and we had to sit through the bigger club's highlights before our own when we were in Division 2 and you were Premiership... Andy Steggall Yeah
  7. It's not that bad, you can park for far less than that if you look for street parking. And Reading is pretty safe for that. Also, note the Dog Track is closed now and there is no parking there.
  8. £8 at the stadium, you need to get there early though. Failing that, park in town and get the bus in. OR... 3 mile cross, and a 30 minute walk. Does help when getting away though, as you don't have to deal with the traffic around the motorway junction.
  9. Fraid not, I'll be down in Southampton for the return fixture on the 28th of December though, but I imagine you're looking to shift it quicker? £35 sounds good to me, if you're happy to hang on?
  10. With a fanbase that's halved in 4 years, the comment about plastic is rather rich coming from a saints fan. Love. Winch.
  11. If you can get it to the game on Saturday, I may be interested. What sort of price are you after?
  12. I think you guys are onto a cracking idea. Why not build it on the Isle of Wight and increase Ferry usage each saturday?
  13. Yes, something that's shocked everybody at the club. They've not decided exactly how they want to do it, but I'm sure the family will have decided by the weekend. Our thoughts are with him.
  14. How do you think you'll be playing on Saturday? We're a similar team to Wolves in terms of our playing style (keep it on the deck, use the wings), and you coped reasonably well against them last week, despite the result. Do you think you'll be trying to play us at our own game, or have tactics in place to thwart our attacks?
  15. It will be good to see the away end full for once this season - I remember you grouching about only getting 2,300 tickets last time you came down, and also mocking our 24,000 attendance as it was our record league crowd at the time - how times have changed eh? It will also be interesting to see whether this manifests into the local 'rivalry' that South Today would like to have us believe. I imagine that we will start with the same team that beat Sheffield United last week, on the lines of "it it ain't broke, don't mend it" principle. And this season it certainly isn't broken... As I'm sure you know, Alex Pearce has been with you for the last few weeks. Suggestions on the Reading forum are that he will be giving away some of your secrets (such as where the missing 17,000 fans are, and who has been keeping your trophy cabinet key for the last 30 years), but also what your defensive frailties are, and where you're most potent attacking (When he's on the pitch). It has also been suggested that you will know a little more about us, other than that this season we've scored 6 times as many goal as our opponents at home, and we've averaged 3 goals a game... Last time we played, as I'm sure you remember, we were a handful of matches from winning the Championship, and a 2-0 win on a Friday night at the Madejski saw us take another 3 points. I'm looking forwards to this one, what are your thoughts on it? I also think we'll win, but that might just be because I'm me...
