It's ridiculous that you can watch Sky Sports on your mobile but you can't listen to Southampton. -
Clearing out old stock?

I'm just disappointed we give him an exclusive pass to the first team, I felt that after the JPT final Antonio shoud have stayed in the team and reminded Puncheon that if he wants a first team place he's going to have to prove he deserves it like everyone else. I felt we could've taken all the points at Brighton, especially off the back of a cup win.

I and a lot of other people were gutted when they ran out, there was still a huge queue of people trying to get them! Me and my dad travel down from Hertfordshire so its always nice to have something to read on the delayed train back.

I made this over Christmas, predicting the Millwall and Brentford games would both be draws. As long as we don't drop any points to lower opposition we'll be there or there abouts at the end of the season. The two fixtures which are wins there which I'm less sure about are at home to Swindon and away to Gillingham. Looks like a tough challenge. Saturday, 9 January 2010 Southampton v Huddersfield DRAW 29 Saturday, 16 January 2010 Millwall v Southampton, DRAW 30 Saturday, 23 January 2010 Southampton v Swindon, 15:00 WIN 33 Tuesday, 26 January 2010 Brentford v Southampton DRAW 34 Saturday, 30 January 2010 Southampton v Stockport WIN 37 Saturday, 6 February 2010 Exeter v Southampton WIN 40 Saturday, 13 February 2010 Southampton v Hartlepool WIN 43 Saturday, 20 February 2010 Norwich v Southampton LOSE 43 Tuesday, 23 February 2010 Wycombe v Southampton WIN 46 Saturday, 27 February 2010 Southampton v Walsall WIN 49 Saturday, 6 March 2010 Tranmere v Southampton WIN 52 Saturday, 13 March 2010 Southampton v Leeds United, 15:00 DRAW 53 Saturday, 20 March 2010 MK Dons v Southampton DRAW 56 Saturday, 27 March 2010 Southampton v Oldham WIN 59 Saturday, 3 April 2010 Brighton OFF Southampton WIN 62 Monday, 5 April 2010 Southampton v Leyton Orient WIN 65 Saturday, 10 April 2010 Southampton v Charlton DRAW 66 Tuesday, 13 April 2010 Bristol Rovers v Southampton DRAW 67 Saturday, 17 April 2010 Yeovil v Southampton WIN 70 Saturday, 24 April 2010 Southampton v Carlisle WIN 73 Saturday, 1 May 2010 Gillingham v Southampton WIN 76 Saturday, 8 May 2010 Southampton v Southend WIN 79

Barnard looked good today and worked his socks off, I'm sure he and Lambert will do well together. I'm not certain how well he'll do at a higher level, but then you can't really judge from only one game, especially since he's only just signed. I'd rather have splashed out on Simeon Jackson though since I think he would have been more of a threat and would have been able to make more of the headers Lambert wins and knocks on. But now I'm just acting spoilt, since I think we can sign anyone.
-
He looks promising but I still think Harding should be chosen above him. I'm not certain he was S****horpe's first choice LB last season when he was on loan.
-
He was running for the whole game and seemed to get himself into some really forward positions later on and was still going for it. I think Pardew's using him as a left midfield option so that he can rest other players. Lallana's playing every game but can play either side, Holmes missed the MK Dons game but was fresh for this one. It's nice to have quality options so that players can be rested.
-
Only 5th highest scorers in the league?!? that's pathetic! If we don't do something about this soon I'm certain we'll be in a relegation battle.
-
Midfield, James might improve and he's a brilliant cover/utility player but our midfield isn't yet good enough and if we lose either Hammond or Schneiderlin then its **** poor.
-
to the tune of don't you want me by the human league: You were working as a defender in the palace te-am, when we met yo-ou We snapped you up, we got you paid, we wrote you this so-ong Now we’ll see how you do-oo Hose Jose Fonte We know your name is longer but we can’t fit it in a song Hose Jose Fonte We’re glad that you are here cuz you’re someone we can rely on When Saints are in a bind, We know Fonte will hold the line, You’d better watch your back, or he’ll make you sorry Jose Fonte baby, Jose Fonte ooh, Jose Fonte baby, Jose Fonte ooh,

I don't know how much of a comparison Charlton's relegation from the Premier League is, especially since they started the season with Alan Curbishley I believe. But I think their relegation from the Championship was primarily down to the failed takeover bid from the Arab billionnaires. They had already identified which players they wanted to replace when the bid fell through at the last minute. Then the team lost all commitment since half the players realised they weren't really wanted.

Bart seems a lot better at distributing the ball than KD, but I'd rather have KD for the Norwich and Leeds games if possible. I don't think Bart has been tested yet. KD is a proven shot stopper, we're bound to give away a penalty in at least one of those games and I'm not sure Bart would be able to rise to the challenge of those games when the fans are, rightly or not, expecting wins.

Trotman was a little off the pace on Saturday, he seemed to think he had more control than he did, maybe the rest will do him some good.
-
I think Waigo is doing his best to take this mantle from Wotton.
-
I thought we had released Lee Molyneux? Maybe it was just wishful thinking...

Antonio was the best player on the pitch for me he was involved in all three goals, first the knockback to James to cross for the assist, then winning the free kick on the edge of the area and finally pressuring their left back into passing back without looking so that Connolly could pounce. It was his tenacity following Waigo's malaise and poor positional awareness that turned the game around for us. Saying that I'm not sure he's able to play a whole game yet and it may just have been his energy as a substitute which allowed him to play so well. Papa looks promising he just loses the ball too much and is offside all the time. I was getting really fed up in the first half when we seemed to keep kicking long crossfield balls up to him which he would either lose or be offside for. Wotton was just a little off the pace today, one too many touches and all the other malarky he's often criticised for. I'm fairly sure it was one of his passes which let an MK Dons player through for the free-kick they scored from. I think MK Dons' midfield is more technical and we didn't need Wotton's bite for this game, he really does give us something against the more physical sides in this league but Hammond made a couple of good tackles yesterday to show he's capable against the more technical sides.
-
Less annoying, patronising "fans opinion" and more highlights! We hit the bar two or three times yesterday didn't we? None of it was shown! I don't appreciate sitting up until 1 in the morning so that I can watch 15 seconds of Southampton highlights while you have three minutes of what Ipswich fans think of Keane.
-
I think Lincoln made this signing in the hope of forging stronger links with Stoke to get better loan signings in the future.
-
4: A pacey striker, Tom Craddock will do. A right back on loan until Murty's fit. A natural winger who can play either side on loan, I imagine Mellis is going to be used in this role but he's not right for it. A CB, Jaidi.
-
Have you seen the new acadamy guy Holder-Spooner I think we can have a lot of fun with that one. On the matter in hand I don't really care about new signings, I just hope Markus Liebherr doesn't invest any of his own money, I'd rather see him bankrupt the club whilst paying himself nearly a quarter of a million a year then put us into administration and disappear.

I have it on good authority that Pardew updates Wikipedia himself to release transfer rumours. See: [link]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Pardew#Southampton[/link] It says: "Alan Pardew regularly uses Wikipedia to leak potential transfer rumours to the public." I don't see how, following this solid piece of evidence, anyone would doubt Lita joining the club on trial.

At the end of last season we assumed that Stern would not be a Southampton player this season, he was out of contract, we were relegated and his wages had been too high even for a Championship club. Then we received the news that he had returned and intended to fight for a new contract, he began playing in friendlies and looked likely to stay. Now he has signalled his intention to look for work elsewhere. If he had just gone at the end of last season that would have been the end of it and so I feel that he has messed us around. I do not think Rasiak wants to stay and will only do so to secure another year of wages if he doesn't get a better offer elsewhere. If he does stay I doubt his heart will really be in it. I would play SJ over GR since he is a better team player and seems to show a decent level of passion whatever club he is playing for.

I'm just disappointed he's messed us around.
