The club is gone - too late to save now. RIP Saints. Lowe did for us...Malwinney finished us off with the able help of a tin-pot Administrator in Fry.

Lay down the shovel son and take your foot out of your mouth. You really are doing yourself no favours.
-
Indeed - and IF MLT/Pinnacle start to achieve some success by taking us back to the top of the CCC, I would not be surprised if a decent offer is made to buy us out again by some big guns. The interseting thing is, would MLT be able to stand aside when push came to shove and we need the investment to move to the 'next level'?

Look, I've just logged on here and found this thread which has gone WAAAY off track! Most you seem to be intent on twisting your arguement to suit your own agenda FFS. So back on theme... IMO one the best album tracks of all time is 'I walk on gilded splinters' from the 'Rockin' the Fillmore' album. FACT!

Message from Tony Lynam Friday 26th June 10:11am

If UNITY came along and slapped some of you in the face you would still not recognise it. Be patient until the end of play today. Then start questioning next week. Remember, we know nothing about "The Swiss" - I suspect whoever they are, there will be the same moaners on here taking them apart without knowing anything concrete. Pinnacle must know the end game is upon them. -
Mmm, now where on earth have we heard that before? Same old...
-
Numb to it and wishing I could stop checking the OS/here/other sites for news, but I like all that frequent these pages care about the club and what its demise means to our home town. Please guys - lets do this and do it now - the 11th hour surely is upon us.

Peter Reid says he has not been approached

Pinnacle plans conditional on promotion in first season

Fixed it for you. -
TL/Pinnacle are the middlemen - i.e. they have no clout as such. The backer has (his/her/their) own lawyers working with Fry and the legal eagles are not happy with the wording of the contract in terms of the right to appeal and its associated ramifications regarding the on-going health of SFC. This does not mean Pinnacle et al are concerned with the -10 points, just the future knock-on effects. Hence TL's comment about 'kicking lawyers' rather than tyres. Providing clarification and assurance can be found from the FL then the deal can go ahead. Simple. The big question now is whether a compromise can be found and the paperwork signed up prior to the wages needing to be paid this week (I suspect today is not critical). Because TL has already spoken with club staff about this, makes me suspect that they knew in advance that a delay would be likely, which in turn leads me to suspect that resolution is very near indeed and that the staff have been asked to be patient while the last details are sorted. However, if the deal is not concluded this week I think we will start to see a quick unravelling of the whole process.

Top post...well said.

If MLT wasn't linked to Pinnacle what would you think now?
Saint Fan CaM replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
There really is a lot of drivel on here and even from some posters I thought were intelligent. WHY can some of you not get the fact that the problem is NOTHING to do with -10 points!!! It is EVERYTHING to do with not having the option to appeal and the rationale the FL have specified for that decision which could seriously affect the position the club finds itself in at some stage in the future. Get over the -10 points - that is small fry compared to the bigger picture. -
This is starting to look silly and obsessive now! Lol
-
Mmm, generally supportive of MLT and his involvement, however I just hope we don't look back and wonder why Fry did not advance the Swiss bid further because it was a better deal. Hoping that tomorrow IS the day.
-
So basically you are questioning MLT's integrity. Nice. I would suggest that MLT knows the buyer and has decided that it is the right choice for SFC - I trust his judgement until proven otherwise.
-
The last hurdle must be in sight IMO - what would be the point of submitting names to the FL if they were not near the end of the journey? Cannot honestly see them bothering to do that unless they were almost ready to go - once the Board is in place and accepted, the staff are next - thats means management and players for MLT.
-
My guess would be at 4.50pm on the day that we started on -3 and that we end by beating the opposing team. Sounds reasonable to me.
-
I don't think anyone has mentioned the Channon/horse connection too - I seem to remember KK had some involvement in the past? Would love it to be KK, but I cannot believe we are THAT fortunate. Plus also, I am hearing equally strong rumours that WGS is in the frame, which I find equally hard to believe. We are Saints, in the 3rd tier, with a rag-tag side, -10 points and a new owner about to come in. We'll end up with the cheap option - as we have for the last 10 years +.
-
OK. F*ck off. LOL.
-
Interesting. I had a completely random text from an acquintance tonight stating JR is the man and apparently this info was from an impeccable source. The rumour appears to be gathering legs it seems.

Doesn't sound like Wotte has been told he is out?
Saint Fan CaM replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Au contraire Rodders. -
Good luck to the freaking club I say!
-
Key point - has there ever been any 'issues' or celeb type contact between MLT and Ince in the past? Will there be a meeting of the minds (5 year plan to the Prem might be a good start!)? If so and its sustainable, then I can see no reason why Ince might not be a superb appointment actually. He was on course to achieve with the Dons what Pearson did at Leicester but without the money and that is the biggest issue with him - will he turn his back on the club the moment a bigger offer comes in, or will he stay the course? This is something even Pinnacle will not be able to answer, but if they've got a good strategy it will include indemnity against the manager being poached if he's getting results.
-
Simple really - we need someone of Rasiaks standing to muscle his way to 20+ goals this season. There is no other striker at the club that will do that for us IMO.
-
Mmm, thats a good shout if he's a Saints fan in particular. Otherwise Rod S.
