  1. Got meself two tickets for tomorrow night. I would think that Lambert will be thrown into the mix as it will be a great opportunity to get him gelling with the team before a league match which must take priority. This game is almost like an additional pre-season friendly in that sense and it will be interesting to see how AP plays it in terms of team strength versus risking injury. I just wonder whether overall strategy will be to not worry about this game atall - will the players be told not to risk any big challenges for example?
  2. Come on Tic Tacs - I've got work to do here you know...this is really not on keeping us waiting for the next installment!
  3. Great news - can't wait to see him in action.
  4. Not heard his name before - should I feel remotely excited about this? Serious question.
  5. Oh dear - I don't know whether to feel relieved that we've not signed a couple of young no marks or hacked off a rumour has not come to fruition! I just hope AP has a couple of decent experienced players up his sleeve.
  6. Trouble is, 100% of a Wotton or Pulis level performance might still not be enough to do the business. However, you're absolutely right - I will be extremely hacked off if the team is not well prepared and looking not up for it.
  7. Oh FFS! Some of you guys are such negative soft girls...give them time to sort it out...its only been a week or so. My subsciption went through seamlessly and I think it looks really good. Rome wasn't built in a day!
  8. Have to admit its grown on me a bit, but I'll not be buying one. Its miles better than the grey monstrosity. Problem initially with the blue - too close for comfort for me, but someone above mentioned it being too dark! Any lighter blue and it REALLY woudl be getting too much like our smelly neighbours.
  9. No, time did not go backwards - that is in fact impossible. Although Lowe probably is kneeling at the foot of his bed right now praying it would. Thank you...I think... And no its not. Not quite. LOL. I wondered how long it would take. All done in the best possible taste of course. hehe
  10. No. We have in fact been trapped in a black hole for the last 10 years (ish) and hence theory of relativity means it just seems like 2 weeks. HTH.
  11. Too many girly apologists. lol
  12. AP comes across as very top bloke in this interview - level headed - sensible. Dean Wilkins has something about him too - I like the fact he clearly has a good relationship with AP too - means he understands what the gaffer is THINKING, not just what he's saying....essential for a Asst. Mgr.
  13. An absolutely first class post Phil and exactly what I was about to type, so thanks for saving me the effort. I would liken the present situation to one of us going into an Apple store to buy an i-phone and then 6 months later someone telling us that we have to have it downgraded in specification because the design company over-reached its design budget to provide a better product. It wouldn't happen because there are consumer laws that protect us. So where's the protection for FC supporters from poor FC management?! Yes, there needs to be sanctions against excessive spending and poor financial management, but not in a manner that hurts the life blood of the sport - the supporters.
  14. There - fixed it for you.
  15. What I like about Murty is he walks the walk on the pitch. His positional sense is very good and when he regains match fitness, I think you will see that he is far from past his best in terms of agility with some telling runs to the byline and good crosses. If Rasiak is still around, he will benefit greatly from Murty IMO.
  16. I think if we're relying on the youngsters to get us out of L1, we'll be here for a lot longer than 3 seasons TBH. Reading what AP has said, he'll not be risking the future to dogma regarding the youth. If they're good enough they will get in - if not they will not. The present crop are largely too slight of build or not pacey enough (e.g. for the wings) IMO and will not get into the team fighting to get out of L1.
  17. Nothing will happen today other than more speculation. I think AP is finding it hard to attract the right players to the club.
  18. So the plan is to stay in L1 for three years. Mmm, well that's a little different to previous 'reports' that suggested two, however provided there's a clear plan then fine. It is clear we will not be obtaining Prem quality in L1 - thats not an issue and pretty much a given. My only slight concern is that we also heard a similar story when we dropped to the CCC and look where that got us. I know it's a different regime, renewed hope etc., however this league is as tough to get out of as the CCC. There are clubs with strength that will be fighting tooth and nail to get out with us. In this league, it is not about attracting Prem quality players with money - its about utilising money in the right way to attract the right players that can battle their way out of the league. Hopefully, Jaidi will sign because he is exactly the type of player that we need. Hopefully, Wotton will not persist in the team because despite his heart, he is the standard of player in CM that will keep us in League One. IMO.
  19. Yep - like the sound of that... someone buying me a beer that is. And I would be very grateful and I would listen to all their ideas about the squad and bite my tongue. When and where?
  20. Oh well, never mind. It must have been a real problem signing a 34 yr old player. Can't expect to see a 33 yr old signed also. LOL.
  21. TBF that's what I've been warning of for a few days now. Amusing really.
  22. LOL @ all those thinking this would be massive news of several signings. The only surprise is that it took this long to sign a 34yr old RB. Good player though that is another piece in defensive shake-up.
  23. Mmm, one mention in whole match report. Not that inspiring TBF.
