  1. You guys keep telling me that we are skint, yet we can afford to buy players for different positions. As much as they may improve our squad that all counts for nothing when we do not have a decent goalie. We have all been saying how poor the goalies are yet nothing is done about it. Just think of the top teams and how they change there keepers when not good enough. There just has to be a better way to cover our defence and build it's confidence. Sadly with the available pair we will never be able to climb the table to a healthy position. No matter how good we can be a gaffe from a keeper destroys it all and I would not be at all surprised if our defenders are always worried by our keepers.
  2. I appreciate the lack of money available for us but we spend on attack and defence Walcott and Lyanco with money that may just have let us either loan or buy a GK
  3. Yes we have monetary problems but is it not possible for us to make a deal by paying them off to go. Would not cost as much as they would receive for a full year if they were to stay, but they would be free to look for a place elsewhere. There has to be other options open to us.
  4. Another terrible decision.
  5. That is rubbish. We should have sorted the GK position before adding another CB/DM
  6. We have had a keeper problem for a very long time. Why has that position not been adequately improved? Just about every fan of our club can see this is a serious error of judgement. So why can't the club. Giving the worst of our keepers a new contract is for me damned ludicrous. Even with a team short of strength, talent, and energy can survive with a keeper worth his salt. I imagine many of us if not the vast majority are completely disturbed by the decision to keep both AM and FF. Someone somewhere must have the answer and I would love to hear exactly what it may be.
  7. Crikey watching those goals I thought McCarthy was there on a loan
  8. The bloke was in palaces reserves and we bought him because we needed a gk. For me that is the one thing that he is not. He will never be and even some of the lower league teams would drop him after a game or two.
  9. We have had the best looking summer transfer for a very long time. So far all newbies look good or promising. This I hope follows suit but if not 1 poor purchase out of all we have done ain't that bad. I shall say welcome and watch how he does. As said above one man's poison is another's gold, can like schniederlin who was exceptional for us but failed ever since leaving.
  10. Or he may just occupy the bench or play in our u23/b team. like hoedt
  11. My faith in our club never waned but now it feels as though we will be watching a different team at St Mary's. Long may it continue and flourish.
  12. I would like to see KWP as Rightback with Tino in front of him. They could really do well together and Tino could cover when KWP goes forward. Why can't we loan a keeper from one of the big boys?
  13. Yes it has improved slightly but surely the club must by now know that our one trick pony is not up to it anymore
  14. or you could be housebound and the computer is your only way of enacting with others
  15. Shaw who starred for United and England this year. Lallana was always a tad lightweight and the year we sold him he was injured before the transfer. Lambert was too old when Liverpool bought him but even then he scored for both Liverpool and England.
  16. Thank the lord for that.
  17. I just hope some club offers him a deal and he accepts it.
  18. JWP to score from a free kick to give us a good start.
  19. Ralph says JWP could play at Everton.
  20. No thanks neither of the two CB's Liverpool bought to replace VVD or the other two long term injured CB's are good enough.
  21. It takes one to see one is a saying. I just added a bit for the benefit of Turkish in case he thought I was referring to him.
  22. It takes one to see on or think he sees one.
  23. I sometimes wonder if some of you ever watch other games than ours. Or even take notice of how opponents line up against us. We need a good strong and agile defensive midfielder. This would add cover to our back 3/4. I have not seen a CB that makes no mistakes. Ours may do so more often because they have no cover from our midfield.
  24. The thing I used to see from our fans was the difference in attitude for away games to home ones. Away we were more likely to try pushing the team forward whilst at home our home fans are too quick to abuse players. That said I hope that the few going to Goodison will really get behind Tella and all of our newbies to help tham settle if selected.
