  1. Well that is an amazing point to make about Salisu. I rate him as best for speed and defending out of the current CB's
  2. McCarthy has shown slightly improved form which I hope he maintains. That one save kept us in the game. ` Redmond must been playing for a chance Pep might buy him. Overall I think the defence seems to be growing in confidence but I do not understand why Salisu was on bench.
  3. Playing Broja in a wide position could give both him and us different options. It almost certainly give us more goal-scoring opportunities. Every game our wide players cut inside and sometimes are already in the centre. Talented players with drive are often used in positions that they haven't played regularly or at all.
  4. I am sorry but I do not see him as an asset. Some will disagree but I see no reason why Broja or Tella couldn't be used instead. Tella has pace to burn and Broja seems to have it all. I would also like to see Broja as a number 9.
  5. I agree totally. Much better to have him for a year than not at all. If he does well we could try for another year on loan but that might not be possible. I would imagine the price for him next summer would be out of our league as well.
  6. So for women who have no interest in the men's football but are getting more interested in their women's football we care little for their likes and dislikes. There are as many women as there are men so get used to female, cricket, hockey and football.
  7. I tend to disagree with having Tino and Broja on the bench to start. Is there any benefit of bringing them on when the game is probably already lost. I would like to see KWP at RB with Timo in front of him. Broja as a possible part of front three.
  8. personally I would let both Diallo and JWP go if sensible offers come in for them. Redmond I would let go for a pittance.
  9. Tough question to answer. Guess will depend on how we talk to him once bids are made for him, or he asks to leave.
  10. I would have paid for his taxi to get anywhere else where he could play. He can't have much longer on his contract surely.
  11. agreed and not for the first time. He is going to be an exceptionally sought after CB in near future.
  12. Beat me to it. A ref always has the chance to wave play on if an attack looks promising and as WG says book Antonio after.
  13. he looks like he has some strength to help him keeping the ball as well. Albeit San Marino are very weak.
  14. Sometimes I wonder if you read what has been written. I will try again. So far the team has said that they did not hear the monkey chants. What I asked is still to the point. We have anti-social fans just as other countries have. At the euros we were caught on camera doing unpleasant things. When we go to matches do we ever hear abuse aimed at some players? Throwing plastic cups at our players was simply pathetic. We have done abusive stuff in this country and been threatened with punishment by UEFA. Fans around the world have fought each other in recent years more than ever before. Maybe because the press are now able to tell the stories far more easily with the internet. We should put our own house in order and then our complaints would be received more favourably.
  15. I do not get why we are so much against the Hungarians when we still need to put our house in order. Have we forgotten how our own supporters acted in the Euros? Asking/suggesting that punishments such as banning for the racist chanting and throwing of items at our players could backfire on us. We also have a hooligan element in our fanbase. By all means complain about the behaviour of a few but be aware that others will be able to repeat the action against our fans if and when they misbehave in similar fashion.
  16. To be fair that is first that I have heard of it.
  17. Wonder if we are looking at out of contract players now.
  18. I am just pleased that he has finally chosen to move on. Stuck here he would have been wasting his time and going nowhere
  19. Just read the Jack Wilshire article in the Athletic. Training alone and hungry for a chance to play. Is he worth a shot for us?
  20. I would like to know how often you are at Staplewood watching as we coach and train our players.
  21. That is exactly why I asked the question. We4 have known for more than a season that we needed to find a goalkeeper that could add confidence to our defence. So in that case why as this transfer window comes to the end why have we still got the same problem. We knew we had a problem and did nothing to help fix the mess we are in. We all seem to agree that both AM and FF are not good enough. Therefore we should have tried to improve the situation. Even if it meant selling another player, {JWP}?
  22. and you know that how?
  23. They get a pay off and then are free to play for another team. Surely even you can understand that. They would still be at least in the same wage bracket and possibly more.
  24. surely if he had been wanted we could have done a deal and paid a portion of his wages.
  25. Blinkers still on I see. What is wrong with bringing in a better keeper when we can have 3 or 4 midfield players o0n wages and mostly bystanders. Yes goalkeeping is a special art but when you have two keepers so woeful and likely to lose you many points there is just no logic. if we could afford so many attacking style players then we should have got the keeper first. What has been our priority for the last year or three. Goalkeeper position and which has not been filled adequately. Yep Goalkeeper
