  1. We do actually but the question is whether they have that option open to them
  2. Banter among players can be part of the team bonding. All teams have a wide variety of players from differing communities. We do not want a team of 11 individuals that have no camaraderie and only play for themselves. Charlie is always likely to get injured but is that his fault or simply bad luck. Before we sold him Lallana was becoming a player that collected injuries to often. Some players get injured because they are tackled more than others who lay the ball off quickly.
  3. Might have guessed you would show your true colours LD
  4. Great - Tadic scoring against Bournemouth ...........Gabbi scoring at Swansea ...........McCarthy saves against Bournemouth ...........Pellegrino getting removed
  5. I am hoping 12th or 13th 47 points
  6. Fry??? You don't fry Salmon
  7. I also feel that Yoshi, Vest and Bedna could be our best lineup for back 3/5
  8. I can go with that and once they are settled in I reckon could be a useful back line.
  9. To be fair we probably wouldn't have looked at Sam as he was last season but he did not really get to show his wares consistantly as an out and out striker. That said he cannot be any worse than Carrillo or Long and looks a bigger stronger player now. He deserves a chance to prove his worth.
  10. It is amazing how opinions on one player can differ so much. I believe that Sam could make it as a decent target man and with a couple of nippy runners in midfield he may well be a good alternative to what we already have. Long has long passed his Saints career and should be let go with a thank for his 100% effort in every game. Let him find his final payday.
  11. Perhaps we could release him for breach of contract but still hold his papers as has been done before somewhere
  12. we could always tell them to do one
  13. Sometimes a pl;ayer might get caught with the ball simply because his less skilled team mates are in hiding and not showing for him. I know that he can look blinkered at times by not passing to an open team mate but more often than not nobody was showing and the team morale was at a lower ebb than seen since the season we dropped to League div 1
  14. as would I
  15. Cynical no, realistic yes. I can't see any of our squad as loyal until they turn down a big six or more money move.

  17. Targett may not have the speed of Bolt but he certainly was able to put in many a good cross and worked had every game as he always does.
  18. Sky now saying he has passed his medical
  19. corrected post. He went to MK Dons before Blackburn and Birmingham
  20. Yep joined us from Plymouth 2012 I think first game 2013 in a cup game as sub. Sorry first league game was against Arsenal. Was highly thought of as a future prospect and now he needs to show Hughes he has what it takes
  21. great another one done. Welcome to Saints Angus and good luck
  22. wouldn't surprise me that
  23. https://sabotagetimes.com/football/my-football-nightmare-les-reed-charltons-terrifying-tumble-down-the-leagues I found the seven weeks as Charlton manager interesting.
  24. still doesn't sound like a big commanding cb though
  25. Seems that report may have been off a touch. Barca may have called him back because he was going to be sold and maybe Nice wouldn't match the fee wanted.
