  1. Bednarek was playing everybody onside.
  2. How much have you put down pal?
  3. Nish Who? Maybe I’ll be reincarnated as Nish Whatshisface - would be a new experience for me not to be able to handle a hostile audience
  4. Any idea what the quality is like via a firestick? I assume the quality is as good as Apple TV?
  5. Maybe a deluded little Englander shuffling around my allotment thinking dark thoughts like a bumpkin Colonel Kurtz? Any tips on how I’d cope pal?
  6. No s**t - the second chart is a work of art even by Pompey Poly’s second most famous graduate’s standards.
  7. That makes selling at $1.22 at the beginning of September even more satisfying pal. Given the pound was much higher as recently as March, there’s still room to run. The higher, the better as far as I’m concerned as I’m already looking forward to the next opportunity to bet against the pound. Next year should provide plenty of catalysts as the UK lurches from one Brexit cliff-edge to the next.
  8. No idea pal, though happy to bet that there will be another Brexit crisis before then -despite it being “oven-ready” and “done”.
  9. If you were reincarnated in the form of an argument, this would be it.
  10. Hold your horses lads, Westie’s on the case
  11. What is it about Les and Tuesdays? Did the Cure write a song about them? The government’s own analysis has estimated that a US free trade agreement would increase UK GDP by only 0.2% after 15 years, a small fraction of the 2 to 8% costs of Brexit during that time. Either way if the UK is taking things off the table, it will just mean less access for UK businesses to the US market -making it even more ludicrous to think that a deal can begin to compensate for any fall in UK-EU trade.

  13. Says Brexit’s biggest cheerleader on here. Nice one Les. You might want to work on that self-awareness pal.
  14. Leaving the BBC aside, Netflix is overrated. Once you’ve worked your way through the usual suspects, their catalogue is painfully thin - like trying to force yourself to finish a half picked through box of quality streets.
  15. Assuming they’re genuine contractors, they’re typically excluded from schemes like this.
  16. It’s got so bad that interviewers need to wear earpieces so factcheckers can substantiate claims in real-time and communicate with them VAR-stylee. https://mobile.twitter.com/BBCRealityCheck/status/1201135464851345408
  17. The coffin-dodger doth protest too much, methinks. Beth Rigby clearly getting under your skin pal. I’ll take that to mean she’s doing a cracking job.
  18. He’s been very sharp, particularly in and around the six yard box without looking truly dangerous. Hopefully he can stay fit and free from injury. Remember he started brightly last season only to tail off badly in the second half as the games caught up with him. He’s not going to pull up any trees in the league but is an excellent match for us. We’re going to need him as we can’t rely on Long, Obafemi and Adams.
  19. Not good enough.
  20. A chef from Poland supposedly.
  21. Let’s just to say it has a very particular historical and cultural baggage in the context of Judaism and it’s not pleasant. Jews certainly don’t welcome the reference and yes many see it as antisemitic. https://www.nybooks.com/daily/2014/11/14/invention-jewish-nose/ https://www.tabletmag.com/jewish-life-and-religion/278768/the-myth-of-the-jewish-nose
  22. He’s already taken pal.
  23. Don't forget the political machinations of faceless officials.
