  1. Indeed. Les doesn’t realise he’s undermined his own argument and shown why only a second referendum can gauge true sentiment on Brexit. Anyway it’s all moot for now. The gift that keeps on giving and there will be plenty more of that in 2020
  2. It’s just an observation as John Curtice and other commentators pointed out. So much for the idiosyncrasies of FPTP and an election that inevitably mixed myriad other issues because Brexiters didn’t have the bottle to put the question directly back to the people. Anyway it’s all moot now (as it has been since 2016). I voted tactically Les because I have no real party allegiances. I’m fine. Someone as skilled and mobile as me has always been fine pal. I’m just perplexed by the s**tshow that’s about to come, though on one level oddly upbeat as there is no more hiding place for the Brexiters to deliver. And if you (and other chumps) can read, I’ve always been more focused on the costs and trade-offs of Brexit, not the politics per se. In the end, reality always wins.
  3. Brexit is going ahead (as I’ve always said it should) but we don’t know if there is a majority for it in the country. Your lot has repeatedly bottled the chance to get a direct, unambiguous answer on the question. And for good reason given that second referendum/remain parties won an overwhelming share of yesterday’s vote. FACT.
  4. Further setting Scotland and the rest of the country on a collision course. Get Brexit done, lose the UK.
  5. Singapore-on-Thames is just what the doctor ordered for the people of Blyth Valley.
  6. Not Committee material either.
  7. Well they possibly denied a Tory victory in Sunderland.
  8. My Jewish mates in Blyth Valley are in shock.
  9. Brexit Party badly split the Conservative vote.
  10. My Jewish mates all voted tactically because they wanted a hung parliament . We all must have different Jewish mates.
  11. Why’s that pal. The sooner Corbyn goes, the better. Wouldn’t want to miss it.
  12. Those token, make believe Jewish mates of yours - I’m surprised you’re not off the phone yet messaging them all
  13. As I said before, hopefully a healthy majority means Johnson can f**k over the ERG and the type of chumps who have avatars of Johnson on a zipwire. He has form (ask the DUP for starters) and its common knowledge that Cummings and co hold them in contempt. Anyway if the exit polls are on the money, there’s no more excuses or hiding places for the Brexiters now. It’s well and truly their mess. Get Brexit done is going to sound like a sick joke.
  14. You said that he admits it is an endorsement of Brexit. “Admits” suggests that he’s had to concede something he didn’t want to. No he’s loudly and proudly claiming it’s about Brexit. Classic denial and deflection on McDonnell’s part.
  15. That’s not what’s being said Jamie. McDonnell trying to say the result is all about Brexit but Neil rightly saying that Corbyn and his policies are massive factors.
  16. Did you vote in 2010, 2015 or 2017? I assume you were too young to vote in the 80s and 92.
  17. Rogue One was excellent. Not seen Mandalorian yet.
  18. Doesn’t seem that extra time Dominic has had to work on his comedy after Farage summarily withdrew him as a Brexit Party candidate has done him much good.
  19. I don’t profess to have any special insight on the election pal. I assume the Conservatives will win a majority but your guess is as good as mine. Your figure is more or less in line with the latest MRP estimates. A majority but with some tightening relative to earlier estimates.
  20. You’ve been proven wrong time and time again about the complexity of the negotiations and how things would play out. And 2020 will be no different - except that there will no hiding place this time
  21. No Les - BBC reporters are under a professional duty to act impartially whereas you like to believe that their private views (even though you don’t have a clue what they are) inevitably compromise that ability. Of course, I never hear you making the same charge with Andrew Neil. I wonder why that it is
  22. Because you were applying the same logic when assessing May’s deal. What happened to your favourite little acronym BRINO pal? #mess
  23. Soggy’s a real life clairvoyant compared to you Les given you’ve been wrong about virtually everything in the past three years.
  24. Kuennsberg’s not fit to lace Coley’s boots.
