Rodwell has a glass back and is permainjured........nooooooooooo!

Nice to see the team at Hallmark Cards getting a run out. Excuse me whilst I nip outside to vomit. This is probably worse than doing nothing.
-
So that's Kelvin shafted then. Nice work Les........

We should never sell players without first signing quality replacements.

Not a problem when you are getting them from a very average league. -
Reasons for sellling our Crown Jewels.....

The catalyst for all this was Cortese being reined in. He resigned and this left a huge power vacuum and lack of a sense of direction within the club. That then destabilised Mopo. He the left , leaving an uncommunicative ( to the players that is) and disliked Les Reed . Cause and effect really but the cause came from Ms Liebherr bottling it in the first place. -
And Les Reed arrived ................
-
We finished a creditable 8th in the Premier League playing generally very good football. We lacked flexibility in formation and a Plan B from time to time but let's not reinvent history to make ourselves feel better about the current debacle is delusional. We had a very good manager and a very good step squad who played very good football. The end of an era................

Maybe Les Reed would have been better advised to speak to the players and steady the ship then produce a glossy 15 minute smugathon video the complete t**** . What a shambles.

Blackmore: Players angry with Board & Reed

Sir Les Patterson > Sir Les Reed. -
We seem to have a success rate of about 1 in 2 on transfers, with chances of success seemingly being inversely proportional it seems to money spent. We have been lucky with the recent crop of youngsters in having Chambers and Shaw come through, ( JWP possibly although I am not quite 100% convinced, Gallagher even less so-although they are both still very young). I am not sure we will have many more to add from our youth this year. It would have made much better business and football sense to offer the likes of Lambert, Shaw and Lallana a healthy increase in wages and ask them to hang on for another year. If you take Lambert, Shaw, Lallana, Fonte (?), Cork(?), Morgan (?) out of the team then you have totally dismantled an improving core of players who knew each others game and were mates off the pitch. Very, very difficult to replicate....and I fear for us this year.
-
Bingo........! I told you all Les Reed was full of it. One whole day that took. Adam next and then we purchase 3 or 4 Dutch league maybes with a considerable net profit on dealings. Band of brothers no more. .......... As we become Newcastle with clogs on. Might work, probably won't.
-
Sounds about right, all the rest is just guerrilla PR from the club who are keen to make this look like they extracted every last penny and fought long and hard to resist this...blah , blah. Shaw has only been back a day so it will be interesting to see the timing of any such deal. If it happens imminently then everything else has indeed been complete ****** and all parties have been working towards a deal all along.
-
Now they are back from the World Cup, likely scenario is that it is teddies out of cots time.........first step formal transfer requests I would guess.
-
Next stop written transfer demands from Lallana and Shaw. In fairness to Lovren at least he was honest from the outset and put in a written transfer request rather than guerrilla warfare through the media as we are seeing here which makes Lallana and Shaw look terrible. A lot of this is also likely to be huff and puff from the club who are conscious of being seen to have vehemently resisted, whilst at the same time selling season tickets let's not forget. In the meantime they are probably happily negotiating deal terms. Are the club really going to insist these players hang around in such circumstances? If so it will be interesting to see how these players react and what impact all this has on team morale. Be careful what you wish for......as most fans best result from all this ( i.e. status quo) could actually be the worst.
-
Good to see him broadening his knowledge with a new formation. Best keep it tight at the back though.
-
Lambert-negative Koeman-positive Shaw? Lallana ? Lovren? Fonte? Cork? Early days chaps......
-
I would still be very surprised if Shaw, Lallana and Lovren do not leave, despite all the usual posturing. Cork and Fonte also likely. Following that I would expect a bunch of Dutchmen will replace them.....we will be like the South Coast Newcastle but with clogs on. It may well still all work but will be much more fragile without the core of players that got us here in the first place.
-
Story so far, MoPo has gone-you may want to check Les Reed's view of the liklihood of that happening in April/May- remember all that talk about making plans together and being on top of the whole MoPo new contract situation....just relax people-all quite smug and condescending, a nice pat on the head for the great unwashed masses . Then whack-brick wall-MoPo gone with no successor in waiting. After that we were told that no-one would be leaving-Rickie Lambert, the club's totem then left. Fonte and Cork have still not been offered new contracts which makes no commercial sense ( value now say £8 million, value in summer 2015 zero...) let alone footballing sense. I doubt very much that they would take up the opportunity any time so if now offered. Lovren transfer request, with Shaw and Lallana to follow. Frankly if anybody fancies a brewery trip anytime soon I wouldn't recommend you put Ralph and Les in charge of logistics.
-
100% accurate. Rudderless ship for three months. Players now in open revolt.
-
Quick Les get a 30 minute video out quick.........it's our only hope.
-
Blah, MoPo, Blah, Lambert, Blah....Lallana, Blah....Shaw. Lord Haw Haw speaks.......If only his talent matched his ego. ...and don't forget to renew your season tickets folks......as the future is bright.

Im not interested in selling my support. I am a SAINT FOR LIFE

Les Reed says that you will not be going anywhere and he is a footballing god........ -
Moyes=dull defensive football...so no. Koeman no idea...unproven in England but likely to be in favour of proper football. As a coach with vast experience of the English premier league I do not think McClaren is a bad shout. My fear is that Les Reed will attempt to put in a smaller name who doesn't impact on his newly found power base.
