  1. Given the gravity of this situation I retract the :rolleyes:from my last post to be replaced by a more serious and earnest :-k. Apologies to all mentalists on the board who may have been offended.
  2. Bipolar disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a category of mood disorders defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated mood clinically referred to as mania or, if milder, hypomania. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time. These episodes are usually separated by periods of "normal" mood, but in some individuals, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, known as rapid cycling. Extreme manic episodes can sometimes lead to psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations. OK-lets be honest who on this board are suffering from said condition?
  3. Bakovnetski....who he!! Get those donkey ears on my boy!!:smt118
  4. Kelvin Davies – 9/10 – the cat got the cream.....two saves at 1-0 set up the win, outstanding. Joseph Mills – 7.5/10 – Improving every week. Stick with him JP Oli Lancashire – 7/10 –Takes a little too much time on the ball on occassions but highly promising. Chris Perry – 7/10 – Good organiser, old head, who looks better with pace around him. Lloyd James – 6/10 – Playing out of position and trying hard. But not a RB David McGoldrick – 8/10 – worked hard again. He has obviously still got the rocket inserted where it should be. Sticky feet at times, needs to release the ball a bit earlier. But generally, played well. Adam Lallana – 9/10 – Classy, quick feet, good hard worker. Drew Surman – 8/10 – Formed part of an excellent partrnship in CM. Could get forward because of Cork's graft. Jack Cork – 8.5/10 – the unsung hero, the water carrier. Play him anywhere and he performs or more importantly his effort allows those around him to perform. If the Saints have Prozone I would be interested to know how far he ran last night. Robertson – 9/10 – who he.....? Made fools of a few on this board. Dream first start and well done JP for getting him!! Pekhart – 5/10 – Poor half an hour of work.Surprisingly poor in the air and slow last night.Injured? if not, JP doesnt mess about! BWP – 7/10 – Tried hard, hit the bar in the first half. Not as quick witted as some around him which often made his contribution jarring. Overall the work ethic was superb and the the quick passing at times was sublime. A joy to watch. Interesting selection dilemmas await as players get fit. Difficult to change the side (other than Robertson starting at centre forward)after that performance. Finally ,what was the average age of the team last night???
  5. I am already at the Stadium. The atmosphere is shocking but I am planning to get a Mexican wave going with myself at around 4.30 P.M. COYR!!!
  6. Southampton striker Stern John is likely to miss out after sustaining a hamstring injury against Doncaster. Midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin (hamstring) is also a doubt, but captain Michael Svensson could feature. Judging from this on the BBC web site..who seem to get a fairly accurate picture I think it will be as follows: ............Davies............... James..Perry/Lancs/Killer.....Mills .....Cork....Wooton....... Lallana.... McG......Surman .........Pecker.............. Lancashire + an other at CB. Not a bad side against another youthful footballing side. Should be a good game and I have a good feeling for this one. So 3-0 the Saints...you heard it here first!
  7. As we found out last year this is a very competitive league with everyone capable of beating everyone. There are no great sides and from what I have seen (so far) no absymal sides.Blackpool beat Birmingham away for example this season. My point is, in this league any victory away from home is a good one and teams like Doncaster, Barnsley and Blackpool should be respected as they will take a lot of points from other clubs. Having been to see the team get a good result on Saturday it is frustrating that this young and inexperienced team don't get the credit they deserve for this result because it was only Doncaster.
  8. what a bunch of miserable ****ers. I think I'll watch casualty.:smt033
  9. :oJust back. A hard fought but deserved victory. It wasn't a Derby or a Birmingham type performance but it was a discliplined, hard working performance that got what it deserved. These kids showed a lot of character after a woeful CC exit. Marks out of 10 Davies 8 rescued us a few times in frist half Mills 7 very promising once more. Should get an extended trot as LB Wooton 8 Good leader solid performer Lancashire 7 Nervous at first but got better as the game went on. James 6 Has a tendancy to drift in field and not perhaps a natural defender. Hung in there though and will improve. Cork 8 my MOM. Worked tirelessly as holding mid where he looked v comforable. Had a hand in build up leading to first penalty. Morgan 7 very good efficient performer. Hope hes ok, looked like hammy again. Lallana 8 Talented and works hard. Destined for greatness if he stays away from fast girls and slow horses. McGoldrick 7 Much better. I thought he worked harder today. John-injured early on. Peckhart 7 a handful. Not a bad player. Surman 8 played well in a more advance role. More of the same please. Delia get your rubber gloves on pet Ruperts on the prowl......... :smt058
  10. No but they're taking a long look at that Dutch international everybody is raving about...Salford Van-Hire. Any more bad jokes.....?
  11. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11096_4150844,00.html Looks like we have been playing him in the wrong position. Holding mid is his best position according to the responses to this piece. Although he'll probably end up plugging gaps as they arise.
  12. Wooton Perry as CBs with Cork in his best position f Holding mid infront of them for me.
  13. very difficult to know what to do with him. Its no-ones fault his knee is ****ed. At his age and with the ongoing problems it cant be long before he waves a white flag and retires. Sad but true.
  14. No I believe that charge was dropped:D
  15. My grandfather was in wholesale fruit and veg so stayed at home with a wooden rifle for protection as he was a part of an exempt industry. He would have probably gone the flat feet/rampant homosexual/pacifist route if need be to avoid going to war and getting shot at which I am sure is a sign of great intelligence. As an intelligent man, and if he were still alive today, I do not think he would have an opinion on this topic as he preferred pigeon racing and smoking rollies.
  16. I would like to change my wife for a car, or perhaps a top of the range petrol lawn mower (well she is knocking on a bit!)...is that possible?
  17. Lets see the reaction on Saturday. My guess (hope!) is we will have an angry young team (and a ginger bloke with a bad knee !!). This may work for us.......
  18. for those of us who went to the Derby game, thats a big no! He sat in the centre circle on a sofa, eating hob knobs, drinking tea and watching a box set of the X Files (Series 5). The game continued around him, quite well as it turned out!
  19. From his interview sounds like JP is going with the following for Rotherham: ..............Davies................. Cork...Killer.....Perry.....Mills James...Wooton...Lallana..Surman ...... .....DMG.....SJ..............
  20. Wooton played well in a well-balanced/solid back four. We should be able to move Killer in and out with Wooton moving to holding mid to fit in with Killer's knee without too much disruption. When we get Morgan fit and move Surman higher up the pitch things should really start to take shape.
  21. .............:smt031........................... ........................ ..................................... ...............:smt064.............. Total smiley face mayhem......
  22. Needing our support?:smt041
  23. I am staggered by a lot of the posts on his board. There were many positives from yesterday. We now have full backs for starters. I thought Mills and Cork played well going forward and can defend.I dont think Barnsley had a shot at goal. Once we get Morgan back Surman can move up to the left side of the three in the 4..2..3..1. As for the manager, give the guy a break. He's got a very difficult job in the circumstances and is an honest bloke who calls it as it is. its much better than last year. This team will improve and a couple of wins this week should cheer us all up.
  24. + We played them off the park. We now have two full backs and what looked like a pretty solid and organised defence. We just didn't get the goals we deserved. Much better than Ipswich. - DMG should bring his deck chair and shades next time though. Actually can we all try to keep the noise levels down when he is trying to get a kip. Gillett tried very hard but a few passes did go astray. Need shooting and crossing practice. Leave men up for corners. Dyer should have got a run with his pace for the last 15 minutes or so.
