  1. Its hard to argue against Spudgun's "full badger" although I think I may have picked up TB from those pesky critters along the way.....
  2. Sky v FA. That's a bit like Mike Tyson v Ronnie Corbet. I would be surprised if the televised game on Easter Sunday moves.
  3. £6 million is a very good offer for a 31 year old with no re sale value in 2 years time but then again is very little compared to the increasing riches of staying in the premiership-next years money is nuts. I would keep him but we need a plan B against a big strong dominant CB like Samba. I woud extend him until the end of the 2015 season.
  4. West end of London, anyone ....on my way to wemberleee......
  5. Strong side. Mr. P must think his black and white marauders can bring their carpet slippers and a pipe on Sunday, read the Sunday papers and still win the game. I feel that he may well be in for a shock. He is seriously underestimating Sir Alex Fergurson's favourite team and deserves to get his bottom spanked. Hopefully it goes to extra time with penalties and it is an incredibly physical game....and there is a plane delay, perhaps with a re-routing landing in Hawaii first on the way back -too much to ask.....?
  6. Alpha males do not generally frequent message boards and the more you post, the more nerdy you are likely to be in the real world (which is not neccessarily a bad thing provided you realise that). There also appears to be a correlation between the number of posts per day and aggresiveness (possibly linked to impotence, lack of romantic activity generally, henpecked husband syndrome and/or downtrodden employee syndrome, living in a **** boring country (e.g...Austria...)....?)-cue aggresive responses.
  7. I had the same dream but with four pink unicorns, a sandwhich toaster and Bruce Forsyth in a loin cloth. I am seeing my dream therapist later today for an interpretation. I think it relates to a relegation anxiety issue brought about by potty training issues as a child. :badger::badger:
  8. let's steam into the cheese eating surrender monkeys with our full court press, we'll have reached Paris before they know it.
  9. There is no cover for Cork and Morgan - we need another defensive midfielder .
  10. He'll wait for his pay off from Saints first. If he gets a job in the meantime he will mittigate a lot of his losses arising from the Saints termination and his compensation payment from Saints will be much lower. Cortese will probably drag this payment out to get the best deal for the club as Adkins will I am sure want to get back into management quickly.
  11. By my calculation in the last 15 league games ( the Cork/Shaw era.....) we have won 5 drawn 7 and lost 3 making 22 points from 15 games. If you transposed that across an entire season that would be 55 points after 38 games. In other words we are currently playing like a top half premiership side. We are also a young side who will improve and we also have the financial resources to improve with new players. Stay up and the future looks very healthy. Our biggest problem will be to hang on to our better players and Cortese should focus on getting Morgan, Cork, Shaw, Punch and Adam tied down for as long as possible with SRL extended for another 2/3 years.
  12. he's had a pint of liquid football.........:badger:
  13. Man City fans.....three pot screamers?? They should pace themselves for a late kick off and stay off the Stella if they can’t handle it. I wonder whether Ya ya and Garry Barry were also on the pop on the way down. Yaya stumbled around for 90 minutes like Shane McGowan at a free bar wedding. As for Gary Barry I think that may have been the first managerial assassination attempt I have ever seen! Great day out and I found myself secretly wanting Villa to win yesterday as I am now looking up the table rather than down.
  14. He was playing out of position under Adkins and isn't a defensive midfielder. Same for JWP.
  15. Fox played well today.
  16. Unfortunately however the seats at Stoke are facing the pitch.....so there is a downside.
  17. Are you Nevlile in disguise !! Very ,very good blog from someone who actually understands the game and the highly technical role played by these two players and its importance to the team.
  18. They were the better central pairing against Everton, Man U and Wigan. That says probably as much as you need to know. Cork is probably a bit more brain and Morgan a bit more brawn but they complement each other very well and this system suits them. Lets get them tied down on long contracts.
  19. Need Cork and Morgan in the middle. Richardson (with Clyne LB) or Clyne to RB (with Fox at LB) or Richardson and Fox if Clyne and Shaw not fit.
  20. We carried Ramirez on Saturday and Punch was woeful and may not suit our new manager's system. The style of football we played in possession v Man U and Wigan was great to watch....as for when we didn't have the ball we are like a pack of hyenas on speed hunting down the opposition. Ramirez and Punch to drop to the bench for Adam and Davis v Citeh.
  21. We were outstanding today as we were for most of the game v Man U. Proud of the team and confident that we will push on, as the results will turn with performances like that. Those who were at those two games know the truth in this...........
  22. It's a bottle of sex panther....... A formidable scent that stings the nostrils.
  23. Man Us first two substitutes were defenders. They were genuinely rattled by us in the second half and played like a pub team at times. Get Cork, Shaw, Morgan on long term deals. Extend SRL say 'till he's 33 and to go with Adam, Clyne, J Rod, Ramirez ( ....I think-though he needs to get physically stronger on the ball.....),JWP and we have the makings of a very good young (SRL excluded...)side in the next couple of years.
  24. Start with the team that started the second half last night but with Shaw for Fox. Tough game though......
  25. If Morgan or Cork get injured or suspended then we have a big problem. I do not see either JWP or Davis as holding mids in a 4-2-3-1- formation.
