Davis 6-not much to do, a few dodgy clearances James 7 - fairly solid, not great corners Jaidi 6 - v. good in the air, a few sticky moments Trottman 7 - good game apart from the own goal Wotten 6 - played fairly well first half, looked to pass it on the deck surprisingly Hammond 6 - workmanlike performance, had a few good chances first half Morgan 7 - added class to the middlefield Lallana 6 - drifted in and out of the game Papa 6 - good threat but poor end product Lambert 9 - class above, won everything in the air and quality in and around the box

I agree, reminded me of Bamby on ice with his control and composure on the deck. Although could well be due to nerves and I'm sure he will grow into his role with confidence. Though just what we need really with his ability in the air.

Wotton is total **** and should be replaced ASAP, otherwise we looked ok, Thomas, morgan and paterson looked good. Murty and Harding looked solid.

His enthuasim today just about covers up an extremely poor player. Though was worth his place today.

It totally agree, thought despite his poor passing at times he looked alright in centre midfield against birmingham

Davis James Perry Saejis Skacel Scheiderlin Surman Holmes McGoldrick Saga Euell Obviously McGoldrick will just drift in as he does but at least this allows James space to get up and down and get in his sometimes excellent crosses. McGoldrick shouldn't play in the middle if the other players immobile like wooten or Morgan.

I've heard that Saints are going into admin, and will get a 15 point deduction, Wotte to be sacked and replaced with MLT. From somebody close to Lowe

Davis 7, Another good performance, great late save to conserve the point, although kicking fairly weak and could command the air better. James 7, Looked good, some fine crosses. Perry 6, Some great last ditch tackles but simply not big enough to win enough in the air. Cork 8, Some super challenges but again not good enough in the air and it eventually led to the goal (maybe not him directly but the defence in general.) Skacel 6, Good in defence although very few crosses into the opposing box and poorish free kicks. Smith 4, Did nothing apart from give the ball away and get booked. Gillett 6, Useful shield to the back 4 but gave the ball away to much with 'hollywood' passes. Gobern 7, Looks a very good prospect especially due to his size (much needed in the current side) although seemed to get tired and gave the ball away alot in the closing stages. Holmes 6, Worked hard as every, but not much end product. McGoldrick 8, Worked hard, with some great skills at times and took his goal well. TBH looked the only one likely to cause Reading real problem and did on some occasions. Patterson 6, Worked fairly hard and held the ball up well early on but probaly in the team a year too early. Overal we looked alright but we always looked vunerable from crosses and set pieces.

I have heard that Molyneaux, Everton left back is now training with us and due to be registered on Jan 1st. I've heard this from someone inside the club as well.
