From what I can gather from numerous people, Krueger is very much a hands off type of guy, who is more than happy to delegate and allow others with more knowledge of their departments to take control and make decisions for themselves. Krueger is purely there to be a chairman, for the major decisions, to be a figurehead, and lead the rest of the team at the club. Cortese was leading, running, taking control, getting too involved. Complete contrast to Krueger. As far as i'm aware, the staff at the club seem much happier and more relaxed with the new setup. He will, alongside Reed, have a massive part in appointing a manager, so the notion that he isn't in charge is rubbish.

I think Poch used to use that as an excuse to not play him. He's 23, there is no chance he's crap or that unfit if he keeps getting linked with Italian sides and consistently is picked and played for Uruguay.
