Yes I’m getting some of our decisions have seemed weird Lalana for example but that would have been carefully thought through before the decision was taken. I mean what was a big theme last season ? RM had players who didn’t want to be here/ had the wrong mindset. That must have been ridiculously difficult to deal with. The team did not hit the ground running at the beginning of last season. RM and the coaching staff won’t want to be fucking around with unsuitable players this time round. im getting an exciting vibe that’s not me being happy clappy. We are obviously not 100% guaranteed to stay up next season but it might not be as dismal as some of the usual subjects suggest. Fairly painless consolidation with a good solid base to progress further the following season.

The impatience of some of our fans is beyond belief the transfer window has only been open for a couple of days with most eyes on the Euros hence loads of bullshit rumours. The window doesn’t shut until August 20th and I’m confident most of our work will be completed long before then. Cant imagine any last ditch attempts to sign players similar the debacle with Gapko. Martin will want players in place that can adapt to our style of play.

I agree there are a few vulnerable clubs in the P.L. including Bournemouth , Wolves, Brentford, Leicester, Ipswich and there’s very little transfer activity so far.

As it stands. It’s obvious we are going to strengthen our squad. Process seems quite methodical so far. THB, keeping Flynn Downes ( most likely ) , Lallana, new contract for McCarthy, clearly in the market for a new keeper so far so good and continue to strengthen. Again why would anyone who runs the club want to take us into the P.L. with a weak squad ? Plenty of time yet.

We often scout up there and of course Darren Mowbray was head of recruitment at Aberdeen last year. no inside info but Miovski and Matt O'Riley are the two players I’m touting. O'Riley was quality for Celtic last season and still has room for improvement. Bizarrely he is eligible to play for Denmark. When he wasn’t selected for the Euros Danish supporters went crazy. He’s got a point to prove and we also have a connect with Celtic. Keep Che and sign those two we would be looking good. Sure I’m speculating but it’s far better than keeping on saying we are going to get relegated or the pathetic “ we only sign injured players “.

I do not understand why squad strength is even being debated at the moment it’s stunningly obvious the team will be strengthened. Ages to go yet. We are clearly making sure we have the main players signed up like Flynn Downes and then build any new players around them. We will have a list of achievable targets lined up already.

I have no idea if Lallana will be any good for us but I have no doubt the decision will be carefully thought through. Anyway it’s given a few on here an offer to vent some negativity and bitterness after what has been a great season. We are in a decent financial situation it’s clear the management are aware of what is required and are prepared to back us. Im not sure what else we can expect at this more. I think it’s going to be an interesting PL season and it’s great to be part of it.
