Not much football being spoken here

Unfortunately to get those extra 5000 bums in seats then we've gotta play good football which is negated by selling our quality players like Davies and Surman.

That's something to pick any saints fans' spirits up!

Wouldn't you think that riding in like a white knight which while costing say the 4 mil that we owe the bank, that crowd attendance would raise significantly and enthuse the punters and the players enough to make a huge difference for this campaign?

Two games into a season where we play two of the heavyweights and we lose by a goal both times when we were unlucky to draw against Cardiff and had John's goal gone in we would've beaten Birmingham? I've got optimism for this season and I think with our juniors we've got good basis for the future. We've just gotta get results which will come soon when the players get used to the way JP is doing things and after the transfer window settles down. You can't flog the guys that are out there trying, only the ones that aren't and that will always be obvious to see.

Nothing like watching live football and hoping little dots come up on a screen showing how many shots we've had. Sigh.

You need the mixture of both. You need the experience of the older heads to help the young ones along in learning their trade and you'll usually find that the enthusiasm of the kids rubs off on the older ones. One game doesn't make the season good or bad.

So if we are grooming him for Arsenal, then profit aside down the track, why did they not buy him and then loan him to us if we're that short of cash right now? if we pay 1.5mil for him then he'd have to eventually be re-sold for at least 3 mil in a couple years for the value if we haven't made the premiership. No point investing in foreign talent if they're only going to keep us treading water in the ccc.
